    Mini, a South Korean, has been crowned Miss International Queen at an annual beauty pageant for transvestites and transsexuals.

    She also won the first award of the evening, Best National Costume, in the event whose chief rule is that each of the entrants has to have been born male.

    This year’s event, based on the Miss World competition, featured 23 contestants from 15 countries.

    The final night of the Miss International Queen contest came to a thrilling climax on Friday, as Miss Korea was crowned the winner at the Tiffany Show theater in Pattaya. She won the world-renowned beauty contest before the eyes of thousands of fans of all races, nationalities and indeed, genders.

    The contest events actually began Nov 16, and opened with the theme “To Dream the Dream” Contestants from 15 countries spent four days touring the sights of Pattaya and being wined and dined every evening by various sponsors. During the final competition on Friday, the judges worked very hard to choose among their beautiful contestants to whittle the group down from 23, to 10, and then to the final 3—USA, Japan, and Korea. Miss Mini, contestant No 9 from Korea, shined all week, and her great personality and stunning beauty won the judges over, and she was crowned the winner. She received 10,000 dollars along with numerous gifts from sponsors. The second runner-up was Miss Ami from Japan, who received 2000 dollars, and third place went to Miss Stasha Sanchez, who received 1,500 dollars. Congratulations to all the winners!
