Well then, 2011 is here now, resolutions anyone?????
Posted by Anonymous on 01/01/2011 at 3:25 amHi everyone, 2011 is now here and so who’s made a resolution (about anything) for the year? I’ve got two in my book, the first is to get a purse that suits me for both work and outside work also so that I don’t need to change contents from one to the other. My second one is to get back to being closer to a true size eight waist rather than a size ten.

Guest01/01/2011 at 3:56 amPeta, I too have begun on a process to lose weight but from a full size 20 to a slimmer size 20!
In a conversation with a friend lsat week , she pointed out that I was rarely seen out and about as an OVERT tg ( though I am plucked, shaved and
and bobbed to the bone !!)I thought about and she is mostly right so I have resolved to be more out to the general hoypolloy, my new motto is ” OUT and …slightly apprehensive.”
She invited me to a party last night and so I gave her my whole ” Queen Poofter from the Planet Poofter” look and she was delighted. Good start. -

Guest01/01/2011 at 8:12 pmI was looking at some photographs of me taken about 2 and a half years ago. I was a size 14 and am now a size 18. I think I would rather be 14, so this year I will be reducing from 18 to 14……

Guest02/01/2011 at 2:18 amHi Lyndal, i noticed you have only just joined TR. Best move you have made. You will get heaps of support here. I have met some lovely people here. Good luck with you weight reduction, i can relate very well with you. Being a size 18 has its downside and I would love to be a size 16 but as i get older its seems so much harder to lose weight. Luckily i have a very physical job which keeps me weight down. Since i started a new job a couple of moths ago i have lost 5 kg and my friends have remarked about my trimmer figure. If i could get down to 90kgs i would be very pleased with myself. Bronwyn

Guest03/01/2011 at 6:04 pmHey everyone, first post on this site so I have my L plates on ( thats L for learner not any other prefix that starts with L… LOL )
I would like to share a weight loss tip that worked extremely well for me and is sooo easy. Google the Atkins diet or pick up Dr. Atkins books.
I have gone from a size 18 to size 12 and am now happily at a size 14, 98 kg to 70 kg and now hovering btween 72 and 74 kg.
So many lovely things available once you get down to this size it really is worth the effort.
So if bacon and eggs, pork chops, steak, fish and chicken are on the top of your carnivorous ladder the kilos fall off rapidly.
Once you get the hang of low carb eating it really is easy, small sacrifice of bread, rice ,pasta , potatoes, fruit to drop three dress sizes.
my health has improved and my cholesterol level has dropped from 6.4 to 4.4 -

Guest05/01/2011 at 4:23 amI guess my main resolution is to give up smoking. The other would be to get fit enough to wear some dresses I bought 2 years ago that are now too tight. These 2 resolutions may be incompatible; my wife gave up smoking and has put about 12 kg on. Priorities, priorities….. I’ll give up smoking and if I gain a bit of weight it’s a good excuse to go shopping for some new femme clothes.

Guest05/01/2011 at 11:13 amTo put it quite simply Julie, exercise, exercise and maintain your willpower and you’ll beat the weight issue from quitting the smokes. That theory goes for anyone else here wanting to lose weight as well, the main thing is to keep up the willpower to make these resolutions happen, it’s as simple as that.
