Hi to all. I’m seeking advise and recommendations of service providers for electrologist practitioners in the Sydney Metro area. I have commenced hormonal treatment and wish to commence facial hair removal. Also any input regards costs understanding the variables dependent upon coarseness etc. Thanking you

I’m sure there are others that have been made in different forums.

Do you have some specific requirements that were not addressed by these earlier recommendations?

    Thank you Amanda

I’m seeking feedback from those who have had positive experiences and outcomes with those whom they have utilized for hair removal . I’m aware Sydney has many practitioners. Though I’m hoping by seeking out this information from members I will avoid dodgy operators with questionable practices.

    Hello Kate,

I can recommend Nicolsons Electrolysis contact details are in Amanda’s thread above.

I have been going there for a number of years and my treatment was most successful after a few years of treatment, I have not shaved my face now in nearly 2 years. I still go once every other month to have other areas treated. I know a number of people who also go there and are happy with the service.

Katherine is the person who treats you at Nicolsons and is her full time profession with many years of experience in all the different types of Electrolysis

If you are worried about the cost as in the question of your original post over time it isn’t cheap. Its a slow process that can take years of treatment as it did with me.

    Hi Anthea

Thank you very much. That’s quite local for me so I shall give Katherine a call and book in. The cost not a problem just curious on hourly rates for the purpose of comparison. Once again appreciate your response.

    Hi All,

After much searching and now actual experiences I would like to recommend Electrolysis by Kirsty (www.electrolysisbykirsty.com) who practices at Hornsby and the Central Coast.

Kirsty has worked for years in this area and was trained in the States by a transgender person. She is very aware of our needs and requirements, is passionate about what she can do to help people in our community and I have been made to feel vey comfortable and welcome. It’s so nice to receive such personal service these days!

Up until this point I have had laser hair treatments over the past 2 years but the facial reduction results weren’t as good as I would have liked and I was even burnt by one of the clinics! Luckily my face recovered quickly and fully but I was very disappointed as this was a high end clinic located in Sydney.

My hair colour is a wonderful mix of red, blonde and white and laser just won’t work no matter how good or what type of laser they say they have.

Electrolysis is the only way for permanent hair removal and I can’t recommend Kirsty enough.
