It is not an isolated case you may be interested to know! Some years ago I watched an episode of compass on ABC about a transgender women who had lived as female for many years. She wrote a book about her transgender experience was a model I believe and even a “Bond girl” in a James Bond film.
After many years as a woman she had some awaking or other and reverted to living as a man. She was of course post op and that presented its own issues with relationships though by the time of the program he had a partner. Dons casecyou presented is specifically interesting for me as it’s the first time I have seen a case of reversed transitionthat has no rrelation to the religious beliefs of the individual.

I’ve heard of several cases where people have transitioned MtF and then changed their minds and even one case of MtF back to M and then a second go at F. The special features of the Don/Dawn case are the massive publicity given to the original transition which must have put the poor soul under immense pressure, and the bizarre explanation for the change of mind. I’d support anyone’s right to decided that the change was a mistake but to have to blame it on temporary amnesia that threw them back to a pre-trans male life as a precursor to getting memories back but with no desire to be, or dress as, a female just stretches my credulity a bit too far.

I fear that cases like this will give the ‘anti transition ‘ people ammunition to put down the whole idea of transition but, as i see it , if we were to compare successful transitions to cases like these there are many more successful mtf cases than unsuccessful ones ,probably in a 1000s to 1 ratio .Also some of these reverse gender people may not be alive to reverse given the high rate of severe depression amongst (some) tg girls..
