  Germany Has third option on Birth Certs

  Hi Girls

  A very interesting read about how Germany will / could accommodate “intersex” situations on birth certificates. Although you would be invariably hostage to what your parent / parents put down on the certificate the option to leave it blank is a first. The LGBTG community reckons it does not go far enough as you will read: but it does open the real possibility for not having to declare a gender at birth. For those progressive gender blind parents in Germany who opt to leave the birth certificate blank in respect to the sex of their child, must surely provide some legal options in later life for their children. And perhaps this philosophy might be adopted regionally.
