Laser v Electrolysis
After years of waxing my legs, I have begun to investigate permenant hair removal procedures.
I have looked at both electrolysis and the latest laser treatments and was wondering if anyone could give me any guidance or experiences with either treatment.

Hi Robin,
Whilst at the moment I cant give views on laser with legs I am currently going through it on my face. I pay $150 per treament and as I guess I want it all gone seems a bit slow but is working. Based on my ongoing research the most successful laser treament is ELOS however I at the moment find tey are asking $400 a treatment. I hear that it works better on lighter hairs like the greys im sadly getting on my face. As I do not want to have hair on my legs I do plan to get lasered later . I sadly forget at the moment the name of laser I am having but its not ELOS. I can inform you the one i have is a bit painfull like beeing hit with lacker bands each time. If you go down that road take panedol or nurofen 1 hour before. Also discuss with them about as you go increasing laser strnght etc eg i started on like 20 and am now 24 I am able to take it to 26 for my face and will to reduce treatment time etc.
I believe compared to cost of waxing ongoing its the way to go also if youyr like me and hate shaving.

I’ve started having IPL treatments on my face, chast and belly. In Sydney I’m paying about $300 for my face and the front of my neck. I’ve got black hair as well as white. Pretty happy as far as the black hairs go although there’s plent left around the edges of my lips which I’m currently concerned about. The beautician doesn’t want to treat too close to my lips. This is frustrating for me. Also, The IPL can’t treat the white hairs, it might have reduced a little some of the grey ones though I think they are almost the same as ever. I’ve had four treatments on my face.
Has anyone had any luck with ELOS and white or grey hairs. I’d love to know, how much you pay, does it work, how much it reduces the white hairs and any other info?? I have not found much info on ELOS on the web. Anyone got any good links?
