Cross-dressing postie sentenced for abandoning parcels
A TRANSEXUAL postman hid hundreds of parcels to avoid stone-throwing yobs who hounded him on his round for looking like a woman.
Cross-dresser Michael Pearson was convicted today of hoarding 234 packages and dumping 29 in a supermarket car park.
The 43-year-old, from Cleckheaton, who attended court in a dress, high heels and matching pink lipstick and nails, told the court he was hounded on his round in Birstall, Leeds.
Magistrates were told he’d tried to hide his alter-ego from workmates, but the youths noticed his shiny long hair and nice shaped eyebrows and would shout: “Are you a man or are you a woman?”
Mr Pearson, who is married with a six-year-old son, tried to shorten his round so he would not have to face them.
He was given a four-month suspended jail term and ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work. Mr Pearson, who no longer works for Royal Mail and is waiting for a sex-change operation, later issued an apology to the firm.
