HI, I would like to know the best way for covering up eye brows, I have tried using concealer however my brows are just too thick and dark. I only dress part time so I don’t want to wax or pluck too much. Is there anything you can use to cover them and then apply make-up over the top. I would really like to here of any products you can purchase and if so where would be the best place to go in Perth. Thankyou

I am reducing my eyebows but gradually over 6 months perhaps and then reduce the impact using light hair color products and pencil in a fine line when you go out. That is all I can think of

    Hello Jackie:

You need a product call eyebrow cover. It is a soft wax cover that will allow you to entirely cover your eyebrows, then paint on the shape you want.

Do a google search, but here is one site:

    Good Luck~

    Hi Jackie,

Don’t worry too much about getting you eyebrows waxed properly it really is the best way. I go ever three weeks, I have mine trimmed and dyed nobody says anything when I’m in male mode apart from “its good to see a guy looking after himself”.

    Cheers

    Hi Girls
I’m in the same boat but would just like some one professional to shape them sort of half way (if that makes sense) I have one lead off of Olivia but does anyone know of somewhere around the G/C Brisbane?
    Thank you

I too have been trying to find a solution. Worried about getting my brows shaped in one go as it might be too noticeable. I have been looking at girls with big brows….ala Brooke Shields but have been trying to do my own gradually….not all that easy.

Maybe I will take the plunge and just say I am trying to avoid OLD MAN BROWS….YUK

Just drop into any salon that does waxing and you will find that they can shape and style your brows quite nicely and in a manner that can be very unisex. Courage my sisters!

In my case the wife or daughter do mine a lot thinner than the guys would even dare and no-one at work says anything about it, nor do they care.

Good Luck and Go For It!

I am lucky because I have very fair eyebrows.
I did go into Emma Bache salon in Pacific Fair Surfers and told the girls straight out that I was a cross dresser and could I have my eyebrows ‘tidied”.
When I did I told the girl I didn’t want anything too radical, just tidy and to gently shape them.
They looked good when finished and still were not too noticeable.
One final point I do pluck long hairs as they appear and I have made up the story that if anyone asks me if I have my eyebrows plucked or shaped I would tell them I am always having to pluck out grey hairs because they make me look old…No one has commented so far.

Thanks for all your advice, I’m going to follow up on the eyebrow wax I think and will let you all know how it goes. In the mean time I think I might try plunking slowly aswell. Thanks again.

I’d suggest that you start by trimming their length. I initially used a comb and scissors but later discovered that an electric trimmer intended for trimming the bikini line was much better. The idea is to shorten the hairs so that the brows aren’t as bushy. Over whatever period of time you feel comfortable with, shorten the brows a little more each time until all of the hair on the brows is around 5mm long.

Once you get to there, maintain that for a while, then start shaping the underside of the brows.

Using a technique like this, the change is so gradual that it’s likely that nobody at all will ever notice.
