  • Crossdressing “supervillain” in PC game

I was reently browsing the reflexive game website looking for something to pass the time and came across a game call Spandex Force. With a name like that how can you not resist looking.

The game is basically a 3 match type, but you are a superhero and the game follows several episodes, a basic story of good vs evil.

However, half way though, a villain is introduced called the “Crossdresser”. Almost laughed my stockings off!!

Have a look if you play these types of games.

It also raises another question, the game allows you to choose between a female or male hero. How many of us choose female characters over male characters if given the preference ?

Hi Robyn, my reply might be 6 months old but forgive me I’m new here. The Nintendo Wii alows you to play as either gender. My 5yo twin boys love it when i play as a girl :) The wife just smiles :) and gives me “that look” 🙄

I’ve been playing role-playing games on and off since Dungeons and Dragons hit the UK in the late 1970s. And, over the years, I have played numerous female characters. With hindsight I think it was one way of dealing with being ‘in the closet’; here was a way I could portray a woman without outing myself. That’s not to say all of my characters were female, but a good proportion were.

Now I’m out of the closet I am more than happy to play male characters. However I’m taking part in a play-by-email game at the moment and my character is – female.

I should say, though, that when I play Guitar Hero I tend to choose female characters; their outfits are better. My custom avatr in ‘Guitar Hero:World Tour’ is the bloke me, though (although I do have a Rachel version as well).

What I want is a game that allows me to adopt a male charcter, but with access to the female wardrobe :-)

Whenever I play ‘Rock Band’ or ‘guitar hero’ at a friend’s house, I always choose female. My friend and his wife know about Evey and are supportive, so when I do this they laugh a little but look at me strange when I deliberately choose a male character (go figure…).

Second Life was an experiment in coming out for me. I started playing as Evey 18mths ago. That name went from fictional to adopted after I got used to people calling me Eve/Evey.

About nine months in a friend inworld asked me if I was a guy or girl in real life. To test the waters of coming out, I said ‘guy becoming a girl’. Surprisingly he accepted it. That moment prompted my real life coming out as I gained support and encouragement from friends that I had made in there. Many of them were cool with me being transgender.

Hell, I even wrote an article on it for the SL Herald (http://foo.secondlifeherald.com/slh/2009/05/my-development-as-woman-in-sl.html). Although I wasn’t admitting to being transgender in the article, the amount of girls in SL that are really ordinary guys who like female avatars is reportedly off the chart ;-)

    Spandex Force

    Vigilance Valley Villains

    The Crossdresser

If there’s one supervillain that should be locked away, it’s this crazy self-proclaimed master of disguises!

His disguises may be horrible, but be wary of his mental powers. Mental bolts of energy combined with the ability to stun his opponent make him dangerous.

Nice to see a good, positive image of crossdressers there … :-)
