Two quotes I ran across on the internet. Not sure who wrote them.. I relate to them when I think about my journey….

CONFIDENCE needs to be built from within. If you build it on compliments it will shatter with criticism

CONFIDENCE You glow differently when your confidence is fueled by belief in yourself instead of validation from others

    Good thoughts….

And so so true. It’s only in recent years that I have started to really believe in myself and to be honest, love myself (without being narcissistic of course). Compliments have gone some way to helping in that personal growth, although I still struggle to accept them at times without trying to deflect or dismiss them. All part of the growth, but it takes time and self belief is what I have discovered and not getting too despondent when you have a ‘doubt’ day, as we all have them.

I remember about 2 weeks after transitioning to full time, one of the girls at my lunch place said how all the girls their love my confidence. I thought to myself, I din’t know that I had a choice but then quickly realised I was confident because I wanted to be.

I saw it as an easy way to avoid some of the “obstacles” we can create for ourselves. In my previous life, I was quite and shy, preferring to stay in the background. Anyone who knows me now finds this hard to believe. That’s what self confidence can do!
