    Hi girls

Can anyone provide advice on the correct way to select bra sizes? I’m 174cm x 09kg and keep getting it wrong. Not yet brave enough to get a fitting.

    Hi Janep,

There are 2 figures in a bra size. the number and the letter. The number is the band size, the letter is the cup size. The band size is determined by measuring the lower bust. (the chest measurement below the breasts). the higher the figure the higher the band size. The cup size is determined by measuring the upper or the fullest part of the bust and then subtract the lower bust figure from it. The greater the difference the higher the cup size is.

The websites of some of the lingerie companies have something about fitting advice, where you enter the lower and upper bust and it works out the bra size, or as an option next time you go bra shopping have the lower and upper bust measurements with you and say to the shop asistant these are her measurements.

    I hope this helps.

    regards,

    Paula.

    Hi Janep,

Here is a link to an Aussie website that appropriately describes sizing.

I think you will find it helpful.
