An alternate (shadow) site…
I recently found that McDonalds blocks TR on their free internet, and when I commented on it, Amanda mentioned that Sydney Airport does likewise.
This led me to wonder about a possible way around it. This idea probably isn’t practical but I’ll put it up regardless.
I was wondering if a new site name could be created with no obvious connection to TR, and which gave out no information unless you were logged in, but took you directly to a login page that allowed you to log into your TR account. Once logged in, the site would simply be the logged in version of TR with a different URL…
Virtual server configuration on Apache might make this possible on the same machine as hosts TR, with virtually no extra overhead.

I’m playing aroud with google groups at the moment.
I have set up a group with a page that has a link to TR (that bit works)
I am having trouble setting up sign ins and passwordsI wont let it loose untill I know it works and have talked to Amanda about it.
As I have never had a mukdonalds meal I might need someone to test it…
