    Hi Christina,

Just my personal thoughts on this as a transitioning transgender woman (and a new member, so I’m looking at some of the interesting threads :) ), it’s not necessarily about what other think about you, but how you perceive yourself. I identify as female, 100%. I am on HRT and am planning SRS and FFS in future when I can afford to.

Much of the effort that goes into presenting as female isn’t for anyone else’s benefit, but to try to make sure that my body matches my own perception of myself, or as closely as I can achieve so I don’t have to look at a body that is opposite to my perceived gender. Of course you also want to be passable if you can, but none of us are 100% unless we’re incredibly lucky.

I have a number of friends who don’t fit the gender binary where they can swing between looking male, female or androgynous depending on how they perceive themselves that day. And that’s something that should also be acceptable in society. It is, slowly.

Each of us is different, and have a different perspective. These are just my random musings, I hope I didn’t offend anyone :)

I hope that I have done this link correctly but this guy is a good example of what I am trying to talk about. I like his attitude and I accept that it does help if you are young and gorgeous!
