Hi Aleisha
I.ve had my Goldseal breastforms for a couple of years now and found them to be very user friendly and relativley easy to fit, although I have found that if they arent fitted correctly the adhesive tapes will pull on the loose skin in the underarm area when the wearer lifts their arm above “boob height”which can be quite uncomfortable after a while. When I mentioned this to the suppliers, they told me the correct way to fit them and I have had no problems since.
After two or so years they are in as good condition as when I bought them!
A tip though-keep them clean and ALWAYS keep them in the box they came in when you store them. The best investment I have in my C/Ding wardrobe

Guest27/02/2008 at 11:48 amHi Aleisha
I have to agree with Lee. I now have two pairs of goldseal forms. They are great and I have had no problems with them.
I found that the sizing as on the larger side, but I am tall but skinny so it might change for each person. (181 cm 70kg, size 12 top, size 10 bottem)
I first got a size 4 wanting a C Cup, and found they were a bit big. I then went down a size to a 3 and found them just right. (mmm seem to remember a bear story like that)
I do agree that you should keep them in their boxes when not inuse.
Hope this helps

Quote:Hi,
Some of the posts in here go back 2 years. So after 2 years what can members say about their breast forms. Are they still as good as they were 2 years ago.
Are there new types that are better than the ones discussed in here,?.
I am thinking of buying the gold seal ones from the breast form store.I replaced my forms last week The old ones were about 6 years old, and I got the equivalent new Amoena forms from thebreastformstore.com.au . These are a more expensive brand than the gold seal ones, partly because they have an integral gel adhesive backing that sticks directly to the skin. Mine are a size 6.
When I went to pick them up, I discovered that I knew Tanya from 20 years ago! After spending 2 hours visiting (including spending half an hour talking to David about kit cars!) I managed to talk Tanya into coming along to the Newcastle cafe night this week. Yay.

Guest28/02/2008 at 9:58 amI started out a couple of years ago with ABC masectomy forms from Bev at “You are Truly Beautiful” I think a size 6 for a 36C bra.
About 18 months ago I upgraded to Transform Supersoft Classic forms Size 6 from The BreastForm Store. Wonderful service from Tanya and David but I’ve never been totally happy with the forms. Mainly getting a bra to properly fit due to the asymetrical “flying wing” of the forms.
The only bras that do a reasonable job are the full cup models from Simone Perele. Yes, I know, life’s tough if you don’t weaken.
Mastectomy bras have been suggested but I don’t like them and it would be difficult to get the forms into the cup pockets anyway.
The irony of it is that now I’m going more mainstream, I want to downsize. Size 6 is not bad for my hight and build – over 6 foot and never mind the heels! But I’m moving towards something smaller more in keeping with a natural look. So I’m wearing little foam INSERT IGNOREs that were free from A Touch of Glamour where I kicked off in the first instance! Gives me a nice slim 34B or C look.
What goes around, comes around!
Cheers Jan

Guest29/05/2008 at 11:08 amI to found the Breastform store most helpful and the product great, I did however like Jan have difficulty finding a bra that fitted well. I have a mastectomy bra but like to wear something a little more sexy. Bras with moulded cups don’t sit well with the forms, the same with half cups and balconette bras. Full cups seem to be the only bras that work. Any suggestions

Guest30/05/2008 at 1:24 pmMy first forms were pre-owned silicon jobs which lasted a year but then started to split. My present ones are size 7 silicon forms from Classic Curves International but purchased locally in Perth through Phillippa’s Curves. Still good as new after five years service but I have never used an adhesive on them. Washing with a touch of liquid soap is recommended but best tip came from a lady who specialised in mastectomy products. She sold me a pair of flesh coloured soft nylon ‘socks’ to cover the forms. The ‘socks’ are intended to increase the life of the forms and do seem to offer a high degree of protection. They appear flesh like under sheer bras but the nipple does not show.
As a relative newcomer to crossdressing at the time of purchase, the $200 seemed a pretty expensive investment but it was money well spent. I’m a bit chunky so size 7 is not too big for me – I like ’em so maybe that’s all that matters anyway. They’re comfortable (a bit heavy perhaps); feel good and bounce prettily when I walk. Apart from a good wig, good quality breast forms are probably the most worthwhile purchase any ‘gurl’ can make.

From what I can see, the general consensus seems to be that buying from the breastformstore seems to be the way to go.
Has anyone had any experience with PALS enhancers?
I was thinking of treating myself to some forms and was trying to do my reasearch, check out all my options and see what others had to say

I admit to being biased on account of having known Tanya from the breastform store over 20 years ago and having bought new forms from her early this year.
In my experience, their service is second to none. Considering that I got a quote from another place near me (where I bought my previous pair of forms) and their price was over double what I paid at the breasform store, I can’t honestly see myself going anywhere else.

Guest17/12/2008 at 10:18 pmI have to also agree that he breastformstore is great.
I have purchased a lot of stuff through there and I have been happy with their service, they professionalium and they are always happy to help. The give great advise because they want you to come back again.
I had an order that was running late due to stocking levels and I would have missed it by then time I left on holiday. They found a postoffice near where I was going and had it waitingther for me to pickup …. they were great and went above normal business terms to make sure I was happy.
In saying all that I guess I will have two pair of goldseals comming up for sale.
… sort of dont need them anymore.

I dont doubt the quality of service, its more the price that is putting me off a little bit but from what I’ve seen so far, that seems to be about standard for this type of product but its still a substantial investment to make.
With the forms though, do you need a mastectomy bra or can you use just a standard one?

I’ve never owned a mastectomy bra.
My most recent 3 all came from DJs.

Guest18/12/2008 at 10:42 pmHi all Kate here
I went to the breast form store yesterday and saw Tanya. I tried on a pair of the size 5 gold seal forms and was amazed at how well they fitted even without the tape and they fill out a 16 C bra really well. I will be going back to buy them when I have the money. I have been tossing up about getting new breast forms for the last 12 months. As my size 6 swim forms do not fill out a C cup bra that well. After seeing the gold seals the breast form store is the way to go.
Tanya was very helpful and professional I would recomend the breast form store to any onechat soon Kate

Guest20/12/2008 at 6:55 amHi girls,
just like to add my experience of the breastformstore. I have bought a number of different items and been very pleased with everything, especially my size 3 gold seal forms, they are fantastic. I was so pleased with the personal service too, discussed my needs with David by phone, he was very helpful and made me comfortable talking about my needs. So Im sold on the breastformstore, definitely recommend it.
Cheers, Sharyn. -
How hard is it to remove the forms?
The ones from the breastformstore that I am looking at come with adhesive tape and do you need a special remover or anything to successfully remove them? Thanks
Melissa
