  • Brain Gender

We all know that the brains of men and women are “wired” differently but what if part or the whole of your brain is wired oppositely to your birth sex. Some may like to try the BBC Brain Gender Test which purports to quantify how much of your brain is male and how much female. Here is the link:

My wife did it and her result was 100% female. My result was a combination of the two. See how you go.

Same here – I tried two browsers but the test only allowed me to do the first part.
The test has been archived – perhaps they did that because it was broken and they didn’t have the resources to fix it.

That’s a pity as I felt this was quite a good test. Here’s two more tests which might amuse some of you. On the first I got 50/50 and on the second I got 46% female and 54% male. Seems I am a split personality!

Sorry I failed to find the original one. Then B1 said my computer was out of date and B2 said I couldn’t read its scribbly letters right. That must make me 100% female? I was a bit suspicious about the questions, one asked if I was male or female.

    Both said I’m about 50/50 :)

[MODERATOR] Please can we not turn this thread into a “what I scored” list – there are other more informal areas of the forums and even blogs to write about ourselves.
It is perhaps better to just take these tests as fun – given that they are not validated – and also I’m not aware of any clinical data that conclusively shows there is such a thing as a brain gender corresponding to the male and female sex. We all want it to be true… but is it???
