Something new. Clothes can be a bit of a challenge for us ladies who are vertically endowed, I’ve tried various purveyors of fine clothes for ladies only to be bitterly disappointed, and frequently out of pocket.
Millers is fine for laying around the house and to wear whilst painting walls (according to my beloved). Myers for me is ‘Basque’ larger sizes, they’re pretty good quality and last and although Basque are not the finest fit, it’s not their fault, they’re made for women’s bodies, pear shaped, not triangular. I’ve tried Long Tall Sally, at the expensive end and had to return the items as they were ill fitting. Made for bean poles, LTS beautifully made but my apparent beer middle wasn’t catered for.
I’m sure many ladies of TgR have superior experience around clothes shopping. Myers and Millers are both comfortable with T ladies trying on their merchandise, in the ladies fitting rooms. D.J.’s are a little out of my league. I’m keen to hear of others experiences and possible advice.

    Hi Liz ,
I’m not particularly loyal to any source of clothes . DJ’S ,Myer Jacquie E, Noni B, LTS , ACOS,
are all on my go to list when I’m looking for something new.

Noni B and Jacqui E must be somewhat aware of their Trans customer base as I’ve always had smiles when I walk in . maybe some training has been going on?

It is so much more fun shopping in real life than on line .

Every Trans person that has an opportunity to interact with someone who has not seen a Trans person before , carries a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impression on that person .

Being tall I have been a fan of ‘City Chic’ for some time now. Not only for the tall but for the generously proportioned, (beer tummy), I also love it that whereas in other ranges I am L or XL, in City Chic I’m M.
I agree with the comments re Millers, I have had a few items that looked great in the, on line, pics but in real life were very bland.
The local branch of Taking Shape lost my custom when I sent himself in to collect an order and one of the older ladies started making comments about wanting to try it on, trying to embarrass me I guess, silly cow. Experts have tried and failed.

I know an odd lady or two (I don’t mean they’re odd, although they may be) who may have told the elderly lady to take a running jump. As you say, silly old moo.

As mentioned in another post, Next are great for jeans and other tall girl stuff plus pretty reasonably priced.

ASOS fit is really good, although a lot more expensive.

Boohoo have a big range of tall girl clothes, my only issue with them is that their fit for tops is a little on the short side. Bodies especially where they really didn’t consider the need for longer torsos on their garments.

For me stylish and fashionable shoes are the biggest issue. Being tall as someone mentioned means larger feet. Most of the shoes available in my sizes are extra high (which isn’t always an issue), very expensive, or stripper styles. I see hundreds of beautiful styles in shops, but not my size

I have been using the English site “Lindy Bop”, they have a generous range of sizes and regularly have 50% off sales. Their style is extremely broad, from 40’s, 50’s 60’s and current there’s something for everyone.

I shop at City Chic and have no problems with the range they carry for taller girls Autograph although some of their clothes are pretty bland .
TS has a nice range as well , I don’t really buy any clothes on line , as I agree it’s so much fun shopping in person
    Good luck shopping
