Crossing your in a legs lady like way
Posted by Anonymous on 11/08/2009 at 8:37 pmthis may sound a bit silly to be asking but how long does it take to be able to cross your legs propperly or is it only something that skinny women can do. I just want to be able to sit and cross my legs and get the complete look

I just want to be able to sit and cross my legs and get the complete lookWell I am a skinny woman, so I guess it’s a little unfair to reply… That said I was some 30kg heavier more than a year ago though… I crossed my legs naturally since a young age, and still do now…
Crossing your legs is just a way to keep the knees together without having to think about it. You might want to just practice sitting with knees together for “the look”.
Take care,

Guest12/08/2009 at 1:10 amI got a lesson from “Ladette to Lady”. Put your right foot slightly back and to the right when you sit. Hook your left foot behind it sort of around the ankle. This will more or less keep your knees together and is considered more lady-like than throwing one knee over the other. Your skirt or dress will ride up less and you will find yourself in a uniquely feminine pose.

Guest14/08/2009 at 6:56 amThanks Felicity, what a simple yet effective tip. I’ll try it next time I have a shortish skirt on.

Guest21/09/2009 at 2:29 pmHi
Just a simple one to try
Sit up straight – feet together – move both akles out about 3″ – this will keep your knees together ( its quite cumfy)
If you want to – just lift one leg onto top of other knee (eg as profile photo shows)
Keep trying this for a while.
I have used this from flats to 7″ heels and it seems to workHope it helps

Sally7″ heels?
Wow, sitting down with 7″ heels on my feet, my knees would be at shoulder height! I don’t think i’d be able to cross my legs at that point!CLARE.
