    Eating/cravings.

HRT affects all of us in different ways. One thing that happened to me was the issue of food cravings, not for anything particularly but just for something that tasted good. It’s a hard road to get to the end of and beat it but after about 15 months (for me) I have gotten to the point where I can control it. You do need a lot of willpower because it’s like dieting but one step further too in the fact that you aren’t so much wanting to be thin but more so not to eat.

If you do have this hassle then yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel but you WILL need a heck of a lot of determination to sort it.

Unfortunatly i am a desk jockey at work and the temptation to eat when bored as always there which compounds the problem, the only solution is to work it it off at the moment :( but i have started just taking less to eat at work and hiding my purse so we will see if that helps.

As a result of my endo’s requiring blood tests to determine if I was at cardiac risk before she’d put me on HRT, I have had to alter my diet to something more cholesterol savvy. I also now have a GG GF who is a vegetarian; I’ve also always enjoyed exercise, and at the end of the day I am vain to the point that if I were any more so I’d be anorexic. I’ve lost about 3kg since starting on HRT but I know it’s more good luck than good management.

    Hi,
I have found when on hormones whether estrogen or growth, Omega 3 is a good suppresent as it helps in hormone transportation and balance. Omega 3’s should be krill as others omega’s are not certified as mercury and DDT free here in Au. Omega’s need to be properly processed and not oxidised before bottled. The bottle should be dark and-or caps should be dark to protect from light. Oxidised omega’s have little effect and can hinder health and hence not reduce cravings You should return the bottle if the product smells rancid just after opening. Getting the unoxidised version is going to be effective.

Leptin 800 with green tea, is also helpfull

I am also testing other products soon I have researched, once landed.
If you have several of your own ideas that work for you, do a wide spectrum approach. Use all in full or part doses depending on the products. Cross referencing is required to play it safe Blood sugars may need to be monitored if you are doing it fast which I would not recomend.

Also get fresh fish rich in Omega 3, Salmon, mullet, barra etc. Do not cook but marinate in lemon juice for 6 to 8 hours. Cooking distroys a lot of the Omega 3

Plant Omega 3 oil has been heated, even the supposedly cold pressed process. Omega 3 in this oil is minimal

Another products I am using at the moment is from http://www.lef.org
[ from one of the two best sites on earth ]
Natural Appetite Control product code 00891 read write up
LuraLean product code 01470 read write up

It is usually hard work to get where you want to go. To reverse a aging body into a attractive [hopefully] body of the oposite sex. Weight is one issue that needs to be addressed. I to am battling this and determined to beat it

Although at present im no prime example of trim and tought i have come up with an idea that may suffice.
Dont put anything to the lips that may go to the hips.
    Eat a good energy breakfast.
If you are hungry at any time eat fruit, drink water, suck on a mint all day, it wont matter.
If i get full and im still hungry i will taste something really intense that i dislike, normally a lemon is strong enough, my face screws up, my eyes go all rolled back but i dont remain hungry. LOL.
Sort of a self discipline, it works.

We will see in a few months if this has worked for me.

    Hugs Maddy.

Hrt has been the opposite for me, i eat a lot less and in smaller amounts! All though it’s had to pass the confectionery section i always look at it in a grey colour and keep on walking! 😉

I’ve only been on HRT a month and don’t know whether my dietary habits have changed due to the meds but lately I have had cravings for potato chips and oranges! My food intake has also increased over the past week which I will have to watch.

    Hi,.
The good old potato chips seem to be the main offender with me too.
I buy a large bag, and then will eat them often after I have had a huge meal.
Its usually at night when I get the cravings and I have to eat, lest I starve and die. lol.
What I have found is that my cravings are cyclic and usually go away after a period, only to return at a later stage.
I figure its my body saying “I need energy and fat to keep up with the changes girlfriend”, so I dont worry to much about the cravings, knowing that they will subside in time.
I have just finished a cycle of severe cravings, and am now trying to diet as I have put on so much weight, especially in my tummy area.
Now summer is fast approaching, Im shifting from my winter diet to a summer diet which means more salads and I usually eat less cause of the heat.
    Cheers,
    Libby

    Hi,
I have some serious cravings for potato chips; will often eat a whole bag, then go on a guilt trip. I am learning to curb this and eat sensibly, cut the carbs and eat protein which gives energy and satisfies. Cut out sugar also. Use sweetner tabs (sugarella). I was rather huge, due to an operation that took 4 years to recover from, pigged out on everything, was 80 kg 12 months ago, I am now 65 kg and trim. I still have flab around my underarm area, but that will go in time. I feel much better, I admire my slim bod when I look in the mirror and I have heaps of energy.
Every night I take a brisk walk, after eating. I can still stuff myself silly, but my metabolism is controling how my body uses that food. Sometimes I drink Nutri-Lim tea (spelt right) at nightime. It is a delicious drink that gets rid of the toxins in your body, which constipate and cause problems with metabolism. But be prepared to need the toilet in a hurry, it takes about 12 hours to work, but is very effective, and you feel good afterwards.
The secret is to eat your carbs in the morning, if you must, but ditch ALL Kellogs type sugary junkfood, and all that milk. Boil an egg or two, on Rye bread tost with a light spread of Promite/ Marmite/ Vegiemite. …Delicious !!. Keeps you going all day and provides energy. Wheras with Kellogs junk you burn out by 10 am, and need more carbs to fill up on, creating fat.
Eat lots of chicken and tuna snacks, sounds gross but is really delicious and gives you energy, which you use to burn off flab and fat. Eat eggs; little energy pills. Ditch sugar, use skim milk. Stir fry veggies are delicious when done right, and satisfying. But don’t dispair, you can still eat junk if you want. Have a look at the BodyTrim diet, It works also.
