Hi Chelsea,
I am on Androcur 50mg/daily
Progonova 6mg/day
I was on Spiro for a while. I can’t remember the dosage however it was not effective enough for me and it dehydrated my body. My skin was dry as a bone visually and a mess as a result. My testosterone was still far to high even after a year of Spiro
My bodily hair was black and still grew readily during that time with no slowing as a result of Spiro. So out with the razor every 2nd and 3rd day , legs, arms, chest and back with a daily/second day, on the face. Facial hair was normal growth but I could now let it go for a day because the remainder of the hair after IPL was white, so no shadow at best
There are not many males over 50 who have a full set of hair. This made me concerned about the testosterone – dihydrotestosterone cycle as I was still producing to much testosterone with Spiro, and there are signs of impending baldness. I did not want to have wigs if I could help it.
My body did not yeild enough to Spiro so the doctor put me on Androcur
After 5 months testosterone has yeilded and the hair on my head is safe.
Facial hair reduced only a little to every 2nd/3rd day now.
Bodily hair virtually gone. I may run the razor over the arms and legs when I think of it, on average every 3 weeks or so but there is very little there; some dark ones, very minor though. I get some little areas blonde hairs will grow to some length in forgotton areas. In general any dark hairs have gone extremely fine and whispy, most no appanent color. The chest is totally bald, brilliant, clear as they can come. I check hair on my back every 14 days or so. Very little there, mainly whispy light brown hair. Just a quick pass over with the razor for the back.
No skin drying with androcur. This is my dosage by the doctor. My testosterone was more difficult to bring down than most.
This is my story. For you Chelsea, your ideal dosage may give similar results, plus or minus as everyone is different
Hope this helps
Georgette
