Hi can I just ask I have had laser and now got little facial hair but still need to run a razor over every day only because anyhair grosses me out.

I have good quilty foundation yet when I apply it it seems to make above my lip look worst so I have to really cake it on which isn’t great lol.

I have a few question first this Dermablend does it work and where can I buy it from ?
Second is Dermablend can I apply the minerals foundation I have over the top.
3rd Dermablend I only want to cover really the top lip I don’t want to look like a drag queen lol

My friend she told me its really heavy she has used it before to cover stops on her face. I only have a faint darker mark there in fact its nearly better if I don’t wear makeup and I gone out before plenty of times without it lol

I just want to know if there was anything like a Concealer that is lighter then this dremablend I can use for the top lip area :)

If any one has any ideas can you please let me know really the top lip on some days lets me down :(

Thanks for you help chels :)

    hi chels

    dermablend can be bought online
you should note, though, that it is very heavy in application, but the beard cover is excellent. the only other downside is that is has a very oily finish, and takes ages to dry before you can apply anything on top of it (and you seriously don’t want to keep your date waiting that long!).

maybe you should give it a try (not knowing how much coverage you want), but then try an ordinary concealer over your foundation if you find dermablend unsatisfactory. maybelline have a good range – from a mousse, which covers a larger area, to superstay, which is liquid and can be used for spots where you want small correcting (achieved through blending). most other brands have similar products.

the main trick is finding the right colour. wander into priceline (or similar store) and check out the testers until you find the right one. just dab a little on your wrist or back of your hand. if the make up “disappears” – you’ve got a good match. also remember that your hand is more exposed to the sun and will likely to be darker than your face, so if you don’t have tee shirt arms (tanned arms that go to the middle of your biceps from wearing tee and polo shorts), your wrist will be a good place to test.

another helpful hint is to use a tinted moisteriser before applying your foundation. this gives you a slightly darker base with which to start your face. clarins make a good range in different shades (but not cheap) and nivea (“visage young” – available at most supermarkets) also have one but with one shade only.

you’ll find that when you have completed your laser treatment, you’ll probably not need anything like dermablend and that most cosmetic brands’ products (combination of founation and concealer) should be fine.

i guess one last suggestion i would make is to go easy with the make up for your day face. a light applicaiton of foundation and concealer for any obvious patches/spots, and maybe a light mascara as a minimunm with a neutral to slightly darker lippy should do the trick.

    i hope this helps.

Another idea (which is what I do and recommend) is to just pluck the remaining hairs. If you’ve finished with laser and hair removal for the time being then plucking is awesome it leaves your face smooth. Hair on the chin is still shaveable though as it’s harder to get to.

I only had laser (ten sessions) and can get away with just plucking and not needing any concealer/foundation which is awesome (is there anything worse?).
As far as pain goes it only hurts to pluck the first three sessions and then by a few weeks later it doesn’t hurt at all.. in fact plucking my eyebrows hurts more than facial hair plucking!
I usually set up with a magnified mirror and a desk lamp and go at it for 30mins before bed if I’m going out the next day or every two-three for maintenance.
