1st of all a big thank you, for a great afternoon to all of the staff of Starshots Darlinhurst, it was so much fun, you made me feel so welcome, and accepted me for who i really am, and you put me so at ease.
The staff was Yvette, Renée and CatherineYvette wanted me to meet with them prior to the shoot, so I met with them on Friday afternoon the weekend of the shoot, I was dressed as Jenny, they were great, they went over what poses I wanted and what dresses I was going to wear on the day. These studios is so private, you can get changed there and leave or arrive in any mode, you are the only one there apart from the staff, nothing like the Westfield Starshots studios with little or no privacy. They foolishly said bring as many Dresses as you want, (poor girls they have not met anyone like Jenny before), most of their customers bring two maybe three changes, LOL. They showed me the shoot stages and props and what were going to take place, I left there on a high.
What a great day, I have wanted to get some professional pictures for ages, finally saved up my pennies and booked my day.
This was going to be a great weekend, as I also was meeting with some girls, the day was Saturday and we were meeting for dinner at Atom Thai in Newtown that night after my photo shoot. Sarah was coming with me to the shoot and offered to drive me, well as most of you know I do have the odd dress or two so I put ten of them into some suit bags and some high heels and jewelry into another small cabin bag and headed into Darlinghurst.
I arrived at 1Pm and went upstairs to the studio after Sarah dropped me at the front door, as I walked out of the elevator I was greeted by Yvette, she showed me into the makeup area and helped me with my bags of gear, Renee carefully hung up all of my dresses and put out may shoes and accessories, she then went through a checklist noting which dress and shoes were going 1st and 2nd and so on. They were all amazed with all of the dresses I had brought in, while we were chatting Yvette was slowly doing my makeup, champagne was offered when I arrived, but I wanted to get through the shoot 1st, lol.
I was treated like a Star or a model, so many girls fussing over me, it was such a high, I never will forget it
Wow what a great job she did with my makeup and hair, so now it was time to take the photos, as we were heading into the studio a very good friend of mine arrived Angela, she agreed to come and support me. Not only did she support me but helped me in and out of my dresses and shoes and made sure that my pose and hair and dresses were perfect, thank you Angela.
Now this is not there normal photo shoot, as we were still shooting four hours later, Yvette had to redo my makeup at least three times as I was sweating due to all of the poses and dress changes, and I am always a hot girl at the best of times.
By this time it was 5pm and as I got changed to leave, they then had the raw pics ready for me and Angela to review and give comments on any changes I wanted and whether I was happy with what I reviewed, Wow was I. We were both givin champagne and chatted about the day.
Yvette, what a great job you did transforming me into such a Diva for the Photo shoot, one of the best makeovers that i have had, sorry you had to keep redoing my makeup. Also your talent for how i should look with my hair and accessories, well done.
Renee, wow girl do you ever slow down, loved how you just kept shooting, shot after shot, your my type of girl and what a great photographer.
Catherine, thank you for your assistance in picking the great pics that i ended up with, i know how hard it must be to be so positive of someone elses photos.
I intend to return for another shoot as soon as i loose some more weight, and get my feminine curves happening, so look out girls, Jenny will bring another rack of gorgeous dresses to get snapped in.
ok now this is for any of your customers who are reluctant or are unsure to have their portraits done, the cost may seem high for some photographs, but they are more then that, they are something that you have wanted to do all of your life, you are pampered and treated like royalty, you are a star for a few hours, so go for it, you may never have another chance.

So now it was time to ask Sarah to pick us up and get ready for Dinner, Yahoo.

Jenny, great photos and inspiring story. So glad you posted it.
It sounds like it was a wonderful day and something to look forward to experiencing. Will have to work on my courage and save my pennies.
