Hi Angie, I guess you could say I wear them in a combo with padding all the time. I’m always aiming for a feminine shape so a girdle works well. I also wear stockings a lot too so have open bottom models also.

No not really, I have a fair bit of shape wear Traditional panty girdles open, etc, Was just wondering. Cheers. The shape wear in shops doesn’t look too glamorous these days.

For regular contemporary wear no, but they’re a must for Fifties outfits! I like to go for authenticity so a big fan of Rago shapewear. Classic retro styles at affordable prices. I own two pieces: an open bottom corselette and a traditional waist girdle, both with three garters on each leg. A slight challenge to wriggle into but very comfortable once on. Only downside is that fixing stockings to the back garter is impossible once you’ve got the shapewear on unless you’ve got a willing helper, otherwise you need to fix the stocking when the shapewear is halfway on and then very carefully ease into it.
