I was trolling through a few articles on the Web when it occurred to me that the internet and social media platforms appear to have more content related to transgender issues. Whether it be meet up sites dedicated to social gatherings, pin interest sites with stunning and decent portrayals of transgender or cross-dressing people or forums such as this; has the internet contributed to a more gender aware public in general? Thoughts…..

Interesting question… I suspect it has helped a bit for those in the general public who DO want to be better informed on Trans issues.
However I think the main benefit has been to Trans people themselves in finding so much support via Trans related sites on the various social media platforms . That surely must build confidence in Trans people to walk without fear or shame amongst the general community
