like a lot of girls in the community you have to struggle with tripods self timers and other bits of technology, just to get a photo of oneself. Yes I know you can get a friend to do it for you, but as a single girl that a little hard.

I have seen little ads around for friendly and private service for transgender people to have their photo taken. they claim to be a professional service my question-how many of us have had a professional photo taken?,and if the answer is yes was indeed a friendly service. If they are people out there who can do the job without making a face.
Are their transgender photographers with a studio that may have a transit gender make-up artist on hand for photo shoots?

I’ve looked at my shots and they’re not that good so I think it’s time that I may seek out a professional.

Several years ago (too many!), I decided to have some glamour photos taken at a professional photographers. This was because I wanted some visual reminder of my young womanhood (that I didn’t quite have) before it passed me by. I went to a photographer in Brisbane, where I lived. I just walked in and asked whether they catered to crossdressers (as I was at the time). They said yes, sure and I made a booking. The whole experience was fantastic and I recommend every girl tries it at least once. I felt very pampered. And a couple of the photos turned out really well. I still use one of them for my avatar photo, here and on Facebook. I bet that most photographers would be happy to have trans clients. (We can represent a challenge!) Just ask and see, and if you don’t like their attitude, move on. But I bet most glamour photographers would be very cool about it.

    hello Simone

The photo of you is just gorges it has captured the youth of womanhood. how much time did you spend with the photographer? and did you do your own makeup or do they have someone there?
If I had one photo turnout so perfect as yours could be very very happy!

    Penny.

P.S. we joined this club just days apart.

    Thanks Penny!

I can’t quite remember how long it took. I think I was at the studio for a couple of hours. We did two separate looks, so I had to change and get made up twice. No, I did not do my own makeup. (I’m good but I’m not THAT good!) The photographic studio had their own makeup artists. That was part of the fun!

The best thing with photography these days is that we don’t have to take pot luck like we did with the old film cameras. Take 100 photos, review instantly on screen and delete the 98 that don’t cut it. All done in the privacy of our own computer, no sending films away for photos to be gawked at by all and sundry.
