high heels in australia- larger sizes
Posted by Melissa_Mills on 16/02/2021 at 9:48 pmLooking for advice please
Can anyone recommend a store or website in australia for larger size high heels without paying a fortune?
When international travel has been an option, I would visit payless shoes in the US and they have since closed down anyway but are attempting a returnOr are my best bets things like Ebay or Amazon?

If I was to buy pointy toe heels, is it a good idea to order half a size bigger than normal or maybe a full size?

one of the many frustrating things about not being able to travel overseas is payless shoes in america (who closed down but they are coming back) carry up to a size 13 in ladies shoes and can do wide widths too but alas, they don’t ship to australia

Not a particularly useful comment in my opinion for anyone looking for larger size shoes!! -
I’ve always liked Diana Ferrari shoes. They also have a more conservative larger size line called Supersoft. Sadly they no longer have a direct sale outlet, well in Sydney, any more Had an excellent store at Birkenhead Point that I knew very well. Sizes up to 13 are generally available with wider C fitting common. I’ve now used their online service a number times and works well with an easy return option. Larger sizes sell out quickly though! Agree with Caroline, you must try them on. I’ve been a 10C to a 12B depending on the style. Good luck it’s a challenge to be enjoyed.

Hi Melissa I have bought many shoes from Alli Express and just recently from a site called onlymaker hope this helps. Love Christine

Shoe me. Is an online store with two shop fronts one in Melbourne and one in Sydney. I went in store 3 days ago and it was amazing. They carry a range of shoes all the way to size 16 us. Although at first they seem to only carry stripper shoes and pole dancing shoes. ( exactly how they are listed on there site) they carry some great retro shoes and everything.

Hi Christine
I had a look on aliexpress and there is some nice stuff on there. If the heels are pointy toe ones, do you find you have to order a size larger?
-
I have used local online store Heels4gurls and found them helpful, and they often have sale items, but nothing currently fashionable or in a brand name.
Alternatively, US department stores (eg Nordstrum) generally carry large sizes and often have sales of brand names, but there is the problem of delivery delays and costs.

The Heelsforgurls is having a closing down sale, so search for them online and see if you can get something you like at a good price.

I sent them an email yesterday but just decided to take the plunge and place an order this afternoon.
The owner said that they don’t have much stock left in the shoes. Maybe 1-2 of each one listed on the site

Hi Melissa
I’m in Brisbane and go to The Shoe Garden in Hawthorne: https://www.shoegarden.com.au/
They have a fabulous array of shoes from Size 10 up. New and branded shoes are top price but they have an under $100 range and some pre-loved shoes at good value. The owner Carol, and staff are very welcoming when I have been in under male and femme modes. They also do mail order.

Have you any more photos of you and perhaps some more info about you.
If you look at my bio you will see a lot more about me so I would like to have the same about you first if we were going to catch up.

Thanks for your reply Jane…and totally understand you wanting a bit more about me. I did read your previous posts and thanks for being so open about your trans journey.
Not sure if this reply is public but happy to send more pics via my email at nickycd59@outlook.com. In the meantime to say I am cis male in my mid sixties with a supportive partner/wife, and have been going out as a crossdresser for the last 3-4 years. I’ve mainly gone to the weekly meet ups of the QLD Seahorse group (now disbanded) but also twice to the Seahorse Ball in Katoomba. I’m looking forward to the next Ball – now called Transacthion. I’ve also joined QTrans and been to a picnic. I’ve been out on my own many times and am pretty confident in cafes and some bars. Just nice to share this with likeminded other ladies.
Hope thats of help for now.
Nikki

Couple more shops to add to the list…
ASOS do a range of shoes in large sizes. Not the best quality, but they look great and the ones I have bought have been pretty good.
Angels Shoes in Adelaide have a great range and ship all over Australia. They are great to deal with too and couldn’t be more helpful https://angelsshoes.com.au
