Has anyone been watching Hit and Miss on Monday nights. I’m amazed it hasn’t been mentioned. It features a pre-op transexual who is a private detective , I think tonight is the third episode of the series.
I watched it for the first time last week. The lead role is played by a well known actress who was fitted with a prosthetic penis for the role and she was shown in full frontal nudity although the rating is only M.
I’m just a crossdresser but did enjoy the way the the trials and tribulations caused by the character’s transexuality were sympathetically dealt with in regards to both her dometic and professional life.
    Well worth watching.

    Hi Tracey

I actually mentioned it along with some other Tg related docos that have been aired on the ABC but well worth giving it a spot of it’s own.
The main character is actually an assassin. As a private investigator she’s rather brutal.

Has anyone else been watching Hit & Miss on the ABC? It airs at 9.30pm on a Monday night & also on ABC iView. I’m thoroughly enjoying it as a drama but also because of the Tg identity of the main character. Bearing in mind that it is a TV drama (no pun intended) I feel that it very creatively covers a great many issues that Tg people may encounter, especially in family & personal relationships. I don’t imagine too many of us will identify with the lead characters occupation though, well I don’t & that’s my story & I’m sticking to it. 😉
The acting is great, the scenery & filming superb & if you like dark brooding modern popular music, then you may enjoy the soundtrack as much as I do.
Showing some bias now – as a real bonus it’s not American.
