If you are looking for an inexpensive way to fix Dermablend and remove it afterwards try these products both available at a Wollworths near you!

To fix the Dermablend after applying it – try using plenty of Cover Girl Professional loose powder – I use the transluscent medium powder and have no problem with the finish even on a hot day.

To get it all off afterwards try Dove Creamy Foaming Cleanser – it just disolves the makeup of your face.

Dermablend is fantastic, it is the first foundation I used before any electorlis to cover my beard, You have to scoop it with the spatula they provide you with into the palm of your hand and really warm it up and then it glides on beautifully and also covers like nothing else!

It is the best creation they have also come up with a new improved better formula for the leg coverage and I tell it is fantastic you can go swimming with it on and it won’t run or come off!

I used dermablend concealer under other brands of liquid foundation.

I find a makeup primer (I use Shisedo Pre-makeup base) makes applying the concealer far easier. It also seems to make the concealer go on at just the right coverage: heavy enough to cover, but no heavier.

So, step by step, I cleanse, tone, moisturise, apply makeup primer, then apply the dermablend concealer.

I used to apply the concealer with my fingers, but found that it works better by scooping it out onto a hand, then using a makeup sponge to apply it from there.

I’m pretty sure that Dermablend’s colourless setting powder is actually just very fine talc with a trace of preservative, so any powder that contains talc should be fine with it.

I set the dermablend concealer, then apply a liquid foundation using a makeup sponge. If the foundation lifts the concealer, the concealer is too heavy or I’m rubbing instead of dabbing with the sponge!

Can any of the Perth Ladies tell me where I can buy Dermablend ,My partner and I found it in Perth at Pharmacity, The assistant was not helpful at all. They had no colour charts ,she told us they don’t have it on display ( after we found it on a bottom shelf) they didn’t have any open so you can test it as they would normally do with other makeup. It was very frustrating to say the least.

Hope someone can help, Hugs, Jo

    Jodi,
Dermablend is available from the priceline chain (www.priceline.com.au).
The product was introduced about 18 months ago and comes in approximately 12 shades.
I turned up in drab mode and tested the various shades until I found the right one to cover some of my red skin blemishes.
Kryolan is another brand that has the same qualities but is only available in Melbourne (top of little Collins St) and you would need to visit to get the right colour shade foundation.
Some of the mineral foundations are good as well – just turn up to Myers makeup counters and see if they can overcome the problem.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

    Wendy :)

I have purchased Dermablend from Soul Pattinson chemists in the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney. It is worth going to the Dermablend site and they list all the proucts including Dermablend setting powder and their makeup remover. I bought 2 shades, the second one was just right for me.
Must checck Priceline because it will probably be more accessible.

    Hope that helps

look at the orbis australasia website on duit.com.au. they are the improters to oz and there is a list of stockists- not just chains but the individual stores- as not all stores in the chains stock it. you can also buy it direct from orbis as i did- ok if you know what shade. there is a guide on the site

its not cheap but its bloody good. used it on night out last month for 1st time and it still looked good hours later.

technique is a bit different from other foundations and actually does involve a small trowel!!
