HRT and hormones – CRONE user group

Posted by Anonymous on 13/12/2007 at 2:57 am

Hiya all, as Amanda 3 wrote in another post, if you really want to find out about hormones please join CRONE (copy the url below).
The info available here would have to be the best anywhere in this little world of ours.
Don’t mess with what’s in the back of the medicine cupboard – see a medico, and if that’s not possible join CRONE. There are good hormones and ones that are not that good for M2Fs – Premarin being one. But don’t just take my word for it, there’s a substantial archive at CRONE as well as daily posts.
One interesting thing I found out there is that it ain’t testosterone levels that dictate libido, rather estrogen levels. Once I read that, well, off like a rocket I was!

Love to all and take care

    Hi Zenda

How do you join this group? … it won’t let me in.

    Thanks

From a chemistry side of all crone is an education that shouldn’t be passed, that is if you are going to university.
BUT as we are all individuals and there is reason we need advise from a good dr and not a chemi wizz i would recommend to tread carefully.
They do mean well but there is a big difference between your dr and a chemical wizz.
Taking the wrong meds can potentially kill you.
    Just food for thought.

Anthea: I was a member of that yahoo group for a few years – really there are so few posts (maybe 1 or 2 a week) that I dont think you are missing out on any info you cant find elsewhere.

I receive their email digests from new posts every few days. A lot of of what is posted I don’t understand and some I do, as I said there is a lot of info if you are a member and do a search there. In no way did I suggest that Crones was the only source of information on HRT.
