  • Just like a Woman (Crossdressing and Transgender Movies)

Hmm… This is my first time at hand with a blog.

SO lately i have been watching a few crossdressing and transgender movies, like yesterday. I watched “Just Like a Woman”, which is basically about Gerald who wants to be ‘Geraldine’, but he isn’t gay. He merely likes dressing up, and often fantasises of living like a woman. So in essence a transvestite, (just wanted to clear that up).

The main plot is that he (Adrian Pasdar… yes, Nathan from HEROES; Peter petrelli’s brother; the guy who flies and has a hot gf lol) works in a firm, and he finds out that his wife and kids come back to the place he was living by himself. So he was actually living the life while they were gone, basically full-time drag at home and going clubbing every night. He is kicked out by his wife (who assumes all the female lingerie, clothing etc are some ‘other woman’s’), and finds a place to lodge with a woman called Monica.

Monica soon finds out that he is a transvestite after he failed to have sex and confessed, (NO, just because we like dressing up it doesnt mean we can’t have sex, i have no idea why production made it like that. In fact we are better in bed as we know more about feminity, what women want and have a stronger connection with the opposite sex!) Monica is mesmerised by his dressing up, (and i’d have to say, in some parts of the film, he looks very convincing and sometimes quite pretty! xD), and gets more and more involved and opens him up to go out in public and be more confident of his self.

As the plot continues, it quickly thickens as he is arrested for “speeding” (although it was evident the policeman just wanted a piece of her… him, no her… and after a quick ‘checkup’ found she was a guy) coming back from drag karaoke. He is fired by his narcissistic boss and his life falls down a hole. He climbs back out of it slowly with the help of his friend and work partner CJ and Monica, as he takes revenge on his boss. In drag :)

Well i found the movie to be quite interesting, i liked it. Pardon my disability to write a competent blog or even a film review, (its my first time doing either). If this somehow survives, i’ll write about Christopher Morley next time :D
