Tania, there is no requirement of Virginia to feel offended over any issue other than those she feels passionate about. She’s a transwoman as well and along with all women there is also no requirement or even desire to be consistent. The arguement you are stating if taken to it’s logical conclusion would be to never to complain about anything unless she complains about everything, including perhaps things she is not offended by or never seen or heard of. If you are offended by dwarves being used inappropriately in entertainment you have every right to complain as she does about things that offend her.
She is not alone in feeling passionate about the depiction of trans people in the media. It’s fine in this case that you don’t feel the same way. It’s ok to think it was funny. Not everyone feels the same way. To say it again…should be end of story.

i just hate it when i find something funny and someone else finds it offences, then uses all there power to get what i find funny taken away from me.

I really do think that the continuing debate around this AD is getting us nowhere. Whether one finds it funny, offensive or not, is irrelevant. It seems that the few of us who bother to express an opinion on it have entrenched views and the constant rehashing of those views is getting boring IMO.
I suggest that we let it rest and do what we wish in private as reasoned debate on the broader consequences of this type of satirical portrayal of people , for financial gain , seems impossible.
I will not comment further on this matter except to say that ; should people who suffer from Dwarfism or any other member of a marginalized community decide to protest about their portrayal in the media, I would support their right to do so , any reasonable person would do the same IMO.

To avoid one group of the other having the “final say” I’m going to make a closing post before locking this thread off.

As an observer of the community I feel this thread needs to remain as a reminder that:
    a) some members of our community genuinely feel the need to take action to try and better our lot, if not now, but in the future.
    b) validating the action and obtaining consensus in such a diverse community for such action is difficult
    c) without consensus the community turns to questioning those holding differing views

Clearly there are more effective structures for mobilising community action about something that the TR forums. Getup seems to have identified this need.

But until there is “Getup” for our community all you can do is alert people to a potential issue in these forums,
take individual action as you feel is right,

….and rely on the admins to close the thread down when it just reflects an increasing polarization of differing views.

Which is what has happened to this thread!
