    Hi to all.

This is a post/thread asking for help.

We are about to to be involved in the best TG related weekend available in the southern hemisphere and there is no, none, zip, zero, posts here on TGR speaking of our get together, our past fun, our plans for this May, nothing, zero zip.

    What gives girls and boys?

    You coming or what?

    Jan.

Ok – maybe it is because I haven’t been seeding the chat room and forums with as many TF discussions as I have in the past. But even without all the talk of TF the tickets still sold just as fast (or maybe even faster!). There is no doubt that the ‘specialness’ of TF is no longer a secret held by a few lucky past attendees. It seems that the word of mouth recommendations sell tickets faster than any amount of excited conversations on a forum.

That said, we have to remember that for a quite a few 2014 will be their first TransFormal – and I’m sure they have questions that in the past we have enjoyed discussing here.

So ask away…share your plans and dreams for a weekend in the mountains!

Because TransFormal is getting very close now!

I’m not addressing previous attendees, primarily my remarks are aimed at first timers for 2014 who may be a little nervous at ‘being out in the open’.

    1. The Carrington staff are, by now used to us and will go out of their way to make us feel totally welcome, at home and above all, comfortable as you present yourself.

    2. Over the weekend of the Transformal there are other guests at the Carrington, ranging from loners to families, you will be totally accepted for who you are.

    3. Transformal guests are well the majority of Carrington guests, so you will be surrounded, feel comfortable with and part of our group.

    4. As I have said previously Transformal is the one weekend in the year when we can truly be ourselves without fear or anxiety. Frock up and be.

    5. The weekend is about being totally relaxed in your own skin without the sniggers, comments and stares. Transformal is about enjoying yourself and having fun.

    6. It’s also about meeting new friends, catching up with old friends or if preferred enjoying your own company. There is no pressure whatsoever.

    7. You’ll be able to put faces to writers, blog writers and characters from TrG.

    8. Believe me, ‘you’ll have a ball’ (pun intended). It’s thee transgender social occasion of the year in the southern hemisphere.

    9. Above all, attend this auspicious occasion, enjoy the outstanding company, the food, and what has been laid on for the weekend.

I hope to see old and new friends on what will be my 4th Transformal.

    Hugs

    Liz

Hi Liz and thanks for the morale boost. This will be my first Transformal, so I’ll definitely be an open mouthed new girl on her first day of school. It won’t be my first time out though. I’ve spent the past year slowly getting used to the idea that I can shop and eat and drink in company or alone as a girl. For Transformal it will be my first time in company in an evening dress and I’m terrified I won’t fit into it or it won’t suit me. My usual style is neat casual. I’m looking forward to meeting you and others I know only from the web and seeing a few people that I have met in real-life as well.

May be a lack of activity in the forums – but ticketing is currently trending to be a sell-out – the best year so far one month out.

On the last 10 tickets now….the Carrington Bar looks like being a real buzz on Saturday night! A chance for those new to TF to make a lot of new contacts and friends!

I agree Jan, hands down the best event of the year and very unique. Location is fantastic, activities to join in with or not as you see fit, and the ball is just wonderful.

Looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

Bring all your favorite neat casual, evening wear, gown, ect ect
oh and a coat as it can be cold out.

Gave up drinking yesterday so I can fit into my gown, mind you I will probably start again tomorrow :(

    Hi ladies,

After joining TgR about 2 years ago, this year I am finally attending my first Transformal. I am quite excited, but the closer it gets, the more nervous I find myself.

While I have been out in daylight shopping by myself, its nearly a year since I last travelled enfemme. Reading your advice is slightly calming, just can’t wait for it to start.

I too am surprised at how quiet the forums are. Are many of the attendees this year, first timers?

Look forward to meeting many of TgR members who attend this year and hope it is all I think it will be and more!

    Best Regards,
    Sammie

TF14 is just about sold out… so I can look at the booking data.

And sometimes the compulsion to create misleading statistics is too great…and so here goes.

IF we assume that no one ever changes their email address, and everyone has one, and one only, email address..

    THEN

62% of those coming have been to TF before (well actually have used the same email address to book before).

40% of those coming came last year.

And 38% of the guests are TransFormal virgins.

    If you believe that…then….

I did warn you…. it was a misleading statistic!

    REALITY CHECK:
Because people do change email addresses the number of virgins is an overestimate – and more of the guests are actually return bookings.

Tickets will go on sale late Jan or early Feb. No need to rsvp – just buy a ticket when they go on sale.

Ticket prices should be similar or the same as last year. But this will be finalised next year when we have a better idea of costs.
