  • Laser Hair removal – Elite system by Cynosure?

I have been doing some research on Laser hoping to get rid of my grey hairs even and I will let everyone know how my case goes as I go along.
Interestingly I came across this in an article and I am glad for the young Males.
Recent data collected by representatives from Auckland University (New Zealand) and The Open University (UK) suggests that younger men are removing more body hair than women. The research was gathered after participants took part in an online survey regarding the removal of body hair on men and women.
The survey also asked about participants’ own body hair and removal process and surveyed almost 600 people aged 18-35.

The article went on to say that
the Elite system by Cynosure that can treat darker skin and lighter hairs

Now I am on a roll to find out more.

I’ll be really interested in the results of your research Jennett. I’m not sure what technology the “Elite” system uses. I’ve been having regular laser treatment to reduce body and facial hair using an “Alexandrite” laser which is supposed to be better for lighter hair.
Body results were really good. The body hair is now finer, sparser and fairer after only a couple of goes spread over 6mths. Facial hair is another matter. It’s much fairer after a total of 6 goes and is growing more slowly but I seem to have plateaued and still need to shave every couple of days or just before an evening out to avoid the stubble feel even if the shadow is virtually non-existent. I think I need to switch to electrolysis.

As laser relies on light waves being absorbed by the target I can’t imagine how it could possibly work with light reflective hair. For the moment electrolysis seems the only choice for effective results especially for facial hair. Other methods can be effective on other parts of the body epilalating and Kalo cream reduced hair dramatically for me . The active ingredient of the cream is the same chemical that is created in the electrolysis process according to the practitioner who I spoke to.

I have been having laser, and electro.
Laser has worked well on the body hair with only one round on the body so far.
Have had a few goes on the face, and it only has worked on the dark hair, as I was informed. Electro is working on the the rest of the facial hair, definitely reduced, but if there was new laser method that will be rid of the lighter hair, I am all for it.
Looking forward to see your research results..
    Michelle.
