    Man boobs have been around as long as men have.My dad had them ,his brother likewise.while both of these men were subjected to some gentle ribbing about having them it seems these days despite this being an age of egalitaronism ,man boobs are now a source of ridicule.As far as I know they occur on men because of a man having too much estrogen in his body – lik e up to 2 or 3 times the “normal” amount for a male.In this case they consist mainly of enlarged breast tissue. They can occur also ,I understand,
    as fat deposits in a man whose E levels are near or “normal ” because he is obese or has put on fat.I gather these fat deposits can also occur in a otherwise normal sized man without any obesity.The thing that really rattles my tree is the amount of ridicule man boobs often attract these days
    as an example a early morning TV show had a item on them and this is part of their Text on them

    “]It’s every man’s worst nightmare – man boobs or ‘moobs’. Recently, several celebrities have been happy to show them off but not everyone is proud of them, with others opting to have surgery to eliminate them. G*** L*****h gives some advice on what to do with man boobs.
    To me its extremely demeaning towards women to condemn a feature in a male that resembles a female feature.As far as I know most women love and nuture their breasts.To ridicule a man for having similar is in the same category of prejudice as criticising a male for being ,looking or acting feminine
    I thought society was slowly getting past being prejudiced against femininty in men .Perhaps it has but in this area of breasts its very much a area of ridicule. Possibly because with the modern fitness obsession, man boobs are “out ” or possibly because many more are going to plastic surgery ,the “cure ” is seen as simple.
    Either way it doesnt reflect well on societys judgement of femme things

    Hi;

    Ill ask the ? those men who have male breasts to see for sure have thet , had any tests , that then would tell us if in fact they have E,,
    If so they can have it corected, for males its about nmol 33 give or tack

    women about 1.25 nmol. im about 0.9 to 1.23 & each person is different .
    & all so they can check many details through the blood tests,

    Well may this be true data but the thrust of my post is how society doesn’t accept man boobs no matter by which means they come into being – hormonal or fat deposit or a combination of the two.Similar to this is how people repeatably lamented to my parents when I was a child the tragedy that I wasn’t born a girl as I had the skin the facial features and the hair that suited a girl much more than me .So back then it wasnt really acceptable for a boy to have such features .Thank god I was skinny and didn’t develop “man boobs ” as some lads do on entering puberty ….
    Ugh !

    I believe that alcohol can help develop man boobs and surely , as I have put on weight as I age, the boobs have certainly increased .( Though the drinking has declined! At least they can be pressured into a semblance of cleavage!
    It is the one thing I will miss if I manage to lose weight.

    I recall a spoof of Monkey Magic where Monkey says to Tripitaka , ” Hey Tripitaka, your’e really a chic aren’t you???”
    He replies ” No Monkey, these are manboobs!!”

    Of course, the actor who played T was a woman.
