  • Monday nights at Blacktown.

Posted by Anonymous on 15/08/2009 at 9:21 am

Hi everyone, I would like if I may to get some thoughts/ideas about monday night dinners. As you may know from other posts, I host a restaurant night at Blacktown every 2nd Monday night. Things have been going ok with it too, apart from myself there are some other “regulars” which is a good start also and I thank those girls for their support.

There have also been some other people who have come along as well but there doesn’t seem to be many who show up from out in the western suburbs where this is. A couple of people come if they can but I know what their time constraints are and if they can’t get there then that’s no problem, you can’t hold that sort of thing against anyone.

My question is though, is there a reason why we don’t see too many other people from out here in this part of town? I know that there are more girls out in the “west” than the ones who have come along for dinner but they never seem to show. Is Monday night not a good night or is it just circumstances like the economic situation or things of that nature?

Monday nights are the only night that are free for me and I also think that it is a good night for “shy” people as the restaurants are not very busy on most Mondays [none of them are]. Some thoughts/ideas would be good to hear, if you don’t want to post here then email me through the link in the post for the Western Syd. nights in Public Events.

    Thanks, Peta A.

    hello Peta

I guess we could all be a little nervous going out to a new place, in an area we live nearby. I don’t think Monday night is any worse or better than other nights of the week, you do make a good point that most restaurants are not busy on Monday so making it easier for us who can be a little nervous or shy when going out.

But seeing I’ve been able to get all the way to Newcastle for a night out. I should do the right thing and come along to your night out which gives me another reason to get dressed up. And I haven’t seen you since transfusion last year, so please book a seat from me for your next night out on the 24th.

    Penny.

Speaking for myself any weeknights are not good and this may be the same with other girls? I usually can only make it during school holidays. I will attend once everything falls into place and I have that night free. Blacktown is a bit of a way for me but no further than Newcastle which I have been able to attend on occasion. So yes once everything is free on a Monday Cafe night I will come for sure :)
