Monthly cycle effects ?
Hi everyone…………
I have been on HRT for nine months now. Every now and then I get
soooo emotional. I cry at just about anything !
I’m not sure but I think I can start to see a pattern here……last week was one of those times. They last for about a week and I recently had some cold shivers.I guess I should have asked my Doctor about this as she has seen something like 550 Transsexuals now.
Has anyone else noticed a monthly pattern of any sort ?

Hi Monique,
I have been on HRT for nearly six months now, my experience is that the changes are so subtle that you hardly notice them.
Some things that I have noticed, other than some breast development are
sore nipples, softer skin and feminine thoughts.When I say feminine thoughts I mean feeling feminine and being more comfortable with these feelings.
I would be interested to hear what other girls thoughts are on this especially at what stage you noticed changes and what were they?

As we are all different i dont think you can really compare any known side effect to our own unique situation, im about to start this journey and have been watching,chatting and learnig all i can, and the upshot is jus that, every one is different and the effects will be jus that too. The only thing that all seem to agree on is after you start to “stabilise” what ever that means? you shouldnt feel great emotional mood swings or extreme changes, i agrree with others that say it is a gradual change if the amounts and types of HRT are right for your body, Strongly suggest you see your GP soon to reevaluate your dosage, type etc? kisses Amy

If you’re on a combination pill which includes Progesterone you’re likely to experience some mood and appetite changes as the dosage varies over the 4 week cycle.
After a while it just becomes normal.Allow at least 2 years for the physical changes, and even then be patient.
It’s only been 24 years for me. There’s always some nice surprise to wake up toTake care
