yep it’s an awesome doco, i ended up downloading the whole thing rather than wait.

sarah’s story is very touching – to see her feeling so alone in that little bedsit and worried that her family would cut her off. plus her feeling of dysphoria and not having the outward appearance that she wants.

karen is so strong and wise.. it’s great that she gets the SRS and becomes the woman she wants to be.

Perhaps it would be timely for me to remind members that stating that you have potentially broken the copyright on a video is not a smart thing to put in a public forum.

Just a reminder that episode two screens tonight on ABC2 at 9.30 pm. It also screens again on Tuesday (I think). If you miss it you can also watch it on ABC iView for 14 days after initial screening.

I just watched the final episode, what a kind and gentle and non judgmental series, absolutely loved it. Which makes me wonder what life would have been like if that group support was around when I was in the midst of youth. sigh…

Just watched the final episode and I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing. The differing attitudes of the participants nearest and dearest. I guess I was wondering how I would react if my son or daughter ‘outed thermselves’ I hope I would be overwhelmingly supportive, but then I’m me. Sarah holed up in a bedsit in Britains gay capital, Brighton, I wonder? When I recently visited Britain my daughter took me to Brighton and made the comment to her mother that I’d fit in with the Brighton crowd. They had no idea what it’s all about.
I wonder if the production company could produce a follow up series on how all the participants were progressing. It might be interesting.

What a fasinating series i was glued to it every time it was on I really hope they continue with the series later , it does open your eyes as to the struggle we have going through life just trying to be ourselves , really wish they put this on commercial tele so it gets more info out there just so others can see the problems we have.I just think if were to be more out there it might be less of a shock to people who come across TG`s, xxx
