Hi all, sitting here behind the computer again instead of being at Newcastle with the girls because I got caught short on time AGAIN!! I love going to Newcastle and get really annoyed when I just can’t make it.

So how about an event on a regular basis, on the Central Coast, closer to home, in the middle somewhere around The Entrance or anywhere around the lake. We could do it once or twice a month on a Monday night? Or what about a bring a plate night, a girls movie night or some such event at our own homes. I know my wife and I would like to share our place with some other TGirls. So how about it. Lets get off our collective butts and get something happening. Please email me.

Hey Sue, Pip and I started with just the two of us for quite a while then slowly built up to a group that didn’t need us there to keep it running. I think you just have to get out there and start it, Bernie in Brisbane (so the story goes) was solo for the first 6 months and now their cafe night attracts around 20 girls a week.

Hi Susan. When I started off with the Blacktown nights, I quite simply found a restaurant that was open on Monday nights and I was upfront with the owners as to who they would see coming which was no issue at all by the way. I then advertised on TR and to this day, even if no-one has emailed me I go anyway. Things slowly picked up and some nights are better than others but usually there is a few us that are “regulars”. If no-one comes then I still have a meal anyway, no loss for me! Something else that I noticed was that Seahorse imported the event you might say and advertise it on their website [like a heap of other TR stuff] and provide a link to the posting in the public forum here on TR also. They’ll pick up your posting too I would suggest as I didn’t even tell them about it, I found out by accident, that will give you a bit more exposure as well.

If you really feel that something like that is needed in your area then get in and have a go at it. If it is within your budget then it is no worry for you if things don’t work but if everyone up in that area wants to then they will slowly start to participate I feel.

    Peta A.

Thanx all for the encouraging words. I shall investigate a venue and advise in this forum and see where it leads.
