NO Politics! Just communication! Volunteers Wanted !
Hi all I just wanted to clarify some of the potential misunderstandings from my Liason subject on earlier Flagpole.
Firstly, the discussion / concept that I had was Nothing to do with either National or specific group based Politics. (in fact the reverse!)Having heard and seen various comments about our various support organisations over time, I still believe that while there is a perfectly understandable w ish (and right!) by our sister organisations to be independant in their delivery of services and policies to their memberships, there is still potential for better communications between us! (at organisation level)
My proposal is this:
Within the boundaries of common sense our (TGR) State based Liason Officers (or communicators) would have a brief to over time, develop links with as many other support organisations within the respective states as possible , potentially through electronic or even Personal interface opportunities to the end of providing access to TGR of everything from special events to latest happenings in our diverse community.
There may also be an opportunity to provide some “first contact” information to potential “New TGR Members” and potentially introduce them to our chat room, rules etc. (Where the inquirers were interested in having access to TGR through the State Based contacts.
My proposition re Volunteers!
If there any of you out there who would be interested in volunteering (perhaps in 2 or 3 states to start with as a trial, I believe that we would be granted access to a suitable page within TGR to post the information that we received for the benefit of our members and better communications in general!

I understand your objectives here because they are similar to ones that Ive held for a while but well done to you for articulating them first and encouraging some thought by all.
There defintely does need to be some better communications with the Tg groups in Australia about events or issues of concern .Am happy to volunteer to be one of your liaison officers or Lady de Liaison
