Re Renault – nice to see corporates trying to be politically correct – if that’s what they’re trying to do (surely they’re not taking the piss?) – but honestly – doesn’t this just perpetuate the myth that any “man” in woman’s clothing HAS to be a DQ?
Re Weird Al – LGG may be easy to parody, but I still haven’t seen him make any statement to support LGBTQI rights (like LGG has done so and in fact, that is the whole point of the parodied song) … how about doing a Murdoch, Deng, Bachmann or Palin parody, or a positive statement, like “I give a damn” (LGBTQI support from a straight person), or “It gets better” (LGBTQI suicide prevention)?
Banco Provincia – perfecto – this sets the standard (although if you really want to carp, the business of “hairdresser” is a little stereotypical – what about judge, nuclear physicist, or fire fighter?). Now why can’t all corporates do this (looking at you, Kelloggs Crunchy Nuts)?
