outfit for golf
Posted by Melissa_Mills on 13/02/2014 at 6:32 amI am heading off overseas on a holiday soon and fingers crossed, I will have the opportunity to play golf as Melissa (a golf tournament is part of the events I am looking to attend).
I am just trying to work out what to wear. My preference is for a skirt or skort and I do already have a pink skort. That would probably be the easiest without spending a lot of money on a one off outfit. I realise that I could also try and obtain an ensemble over there.
Has anyone played golf enfemme?Melissa

I’m sure you must have noticed that golf is now a regular part of TransFormal in May. Although the climate in the mountains in Autumn can be “bracing” those who have joined in have had an enjoyable and hassle free experience. But then this is Australia – I can’t talk for the issues you might find doing the same thing overseas.
So here are the fashion shots from the last two years:

The place I am going is Las Vegas in late march/early april so it will be cool but not that cold. Temps hopefully should in the mid 20’s by then

Guest13/02/2014 at 7:21 pmEnjoy Las Vegas! DLV will be a blast – I’m sure you’ll meet lots of people and there are many, many organised events to get involved in, not to mention big American portions of very good quality food. And the shopping – more on that below.
Weather at that time of year can get very warm:

And for the golf, you can always get inspired by how the professionals look:

Having said that, there are plenty (and I really mean plenty) of shopping outlets in Las Vegas where you can buy some nice kit for the golf course. I would recommend Premium Outlets North, which is not far from the Strip (not sure whereabouts you’ll be staying):

I would not bother buying anything in Australia if you don’t have anything suitable (although the exchange rate has dropped a little from the highs of AUD1 being over USD1).
Premium Outlets North have Adidas, Nike, La Coste, and Izod, so if you can’t find a decent top and shorts/skort in a high performance fabric without killing the bank, you would have not been looking hard enough
Safe and happy travels (and enjoy the golf).

Thanks Virginia.
I have been to Divas before and didn’t really have that great of a time so hopefully this one will be better. If I get a car, I’ll be able to hit the shops a lot easier the first full day in Vegas. Either of the premium outlets (north or south) can be accessed by public transport but it takes a lot longer.
Walmart does have some skorts for about $10 and that is where I obtained the current one I haveMelissa

I guess you don’t have to be involved in all of the DLV events. If you like to strike out on your own or with a few others, then you can do things that you find personally enjoyable.
Having a car makes life a lot easier. Many of the casino/hotels have free parking stations, or you can pay for valet if you have a bit of spare cash.

I’ve had a look at the list of events (at least the ones that have been announced so far) and for the most part, they don’t really appeal to me. I will certainly try to get to a few events as I am there anyway of course
