OMG Annabelle Crabbe is sooooo dull :(

I forgot one significant one: for my sins, I am related to Sir Donald Bradman (true). As boring and insular an individual as one could meet. A nasty, mean spirited man who saw no other opinions.
    Other than than he’s ok..

[quote=”Sheryl” post=30871the guy who has convinced me, to never in my lifetime, walk through the doors of National Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiles.[/quote]

Thank you so much for mentioning National tiiiles. I have hated him since I first heard him on radio years ago.
May I add Gerry Harvey? Harvey Norman, in case no one knew. Harvey Norman almost single handed wiped out every small electrical retail shop, (i.e. competition), in every town and suburb by aggressively discounting prices then cries unfair practices and wants an even playing field over E Bay and Amazon.

    Clive James (R.I.P)
had a good descriptor for boring people as those who when talking could cause birds to fall out of the sky and for nearby dogs to drop dead.

Emma, I thought you turned for Lawrence Olivier, at least that is what he said in this memoirs.

Gerry Harvey – very unboring – the Gerry Harvey Tax (imported goods under $1000) is such a blight. It made getting things not available in Australia very difficult as the overseas merchants don’t want to deal with the paper work.

On the other hand Harvey Norman ads make Joyce Mayne’s self promotion of white-goods in the 1980s look positively engaging.

Ah dear, dear, “Larry”. We’d spend hours at his country retreat with him reciting Shakespearian love poems to me but, alas, everything was in the “performance” with him. A follower of “the method” he’d immerse himself in a role 24 hours a ****ing day – it drove me mad. It was ok when he was filming Love Among The Ruins but things got pretty dicey when he was doing Marathon Man and he and wanted to spend the weekends enacting Nazi war atrocities.
He was distraught when I threw him over for Mick and Jerry during their Mustique period with Princess Margaret.
