Guest15/05/2008 at 1:09 amHi Kelli
It is quite easy really, use a lip liner to outline where you want the lipstick to go oh and make sure it is simular to the color of your lipstick. Then use a lipstick which you can apply with a small brush, that way a bit like micro poainting you can work it to the line of your lips.
hope that helps
cheers

Actually the lip liner should be darker than the lipstick colour. But then in art there is no hard and fast rule.

Guest16/05/2008 at 1:00 amIf you want to make your lips look fuller, you can buy a lip plumper from any cosmetics dept. I have a tube, I paid only $20 for the tube, just rub it on your lips, before you apply lipstick, you may experence a tingly sensation.
Yes it does work, although the difference is only small.

Guest19/05/2008 at 8:39 amThanks girls,
I have been looking at the lip plumping lipsticks etc.
They do vary a lot in price, i guess it’s that old saying ‘you get what you pay for’.
I will definitely get some and let you know of my results.
thanks again,

Guest10/06/2008 at 11:58 pmUpdate. Got some Lip Plump and just tried it and yes Anthea that stuff is magic, makes a difference. As Kelly said varies in price – up to $40. I got mine half price clearence for $13. Brand was Innoxa. Thet say to use 3 times a day to condition lip area. If works well over time I’ll be geting top of the line for sure.
Another good tip from the posts, thank you girls.

Guest14/07/2008 at 5:50 amHi All
Now over 4 weeks since I have been using Lip Plump and I highly recomend it, has made a difference while keeping lips in good condition.
Andie > You tube video is excellant, it sure makes it easier in this day and age with the internet to learn these things. Will have a new pic up shortly.

Guest14/07/2008 at 6:45 amA tip for sharper lip edges is to put your lip liner pencil in the freezer before you sharpen.
The waxy inside doesn’t go super hard but it does go hard enough for you to get a nice point when you do sharpen it.
You can also blend the hard outline with a slightly paler lip colour which will give the illusion of greater fullness.cheers,

Guest26/03/2010 at 11:40 pmAs some of the girls have stated using a sharpened lip pencil will create a firm outline then fill in with either the lip pencil or lipstick. I prefer the lip pencil for the entire job. I use a lipstick fixer which I apply after lipstick is applied. I apply a thin application of finishing powder to my lips then the fixer.
Fixer costs about $20.
It washes out in water and is non-toxic.
Fixer stops my lipstick from running or ‘bleeding’ along those fine lip lines us more youthfully-challenged girls have.
love to all you thoroughly wonderful girls out there.

Guest19/12/2016 at 4:01 amHi girls
A very good (CIS) girlfriend taught me a couple of tricks with my lipstick recently. This may already be covered somewhere else on the boards here, but just in case …
1. Use a lip liner that is a similar colour or just slightly darker colour of the lipstick and ‘draw’ around your lips.
2. Using a small Lip Brush with small gentle strokes, micro paint your lips to the line you have drawn. The application doesn’t need to be thick.
3. Sorta smack your lips together to spread evenly.
4. With a Foundation Powder Brush use a dry powder (not liquid) to gently “pat” the powder over your moist lipstick, this sorta dries the lipstick.
5. Use a liquid lipstick (gloss) that is the same colour as your lipstick and with small gentle strokes paint your now dry lips.I found this makes your lipstick last for ages and it doesn’t come off as easy when drinking a coffee, eating lunch or even passionately kissing a cute guy.
Removal is also fairly easy with a normal make-up removal wipe or with Olive Oil on a tissue/cloth.
Hugs, Emily
