Live in queensland so it can still be a bit warm at night when im out. have had a small issue regarding perspiring through makeup. have ssen a barrier spray thats meant to help this on violetmoonworks and may get this.

Question is has anyone tried this? is it any good? is there an alternative?

If the problem is with your makeup getting ‘shiny” then MAC (and probably others) make translucent powder for that. You just apply it with a blush/ bronzer brush whenever you need it and the sheen goes to matt. The colour underneath is not affected.

I perspire a lot and have found a that primer (Iuse Smashbox off Ebay) does a great job of helping the makeup stay on, not sure if this is what you are after or just want to stop sweating.

I agree, using a decent quality primer is definitely an advantage with these hot days and makeup. Another thing to try is a water resistant foundation which will help your makeup stay put in conjunction with primer use. Lastly, how high up are you putting on your makeup? Don’t go any higher than your eyebrows when applying makeup, I got that tip from a makeup product company owner/artist on TV one day. I find that when I do sweat, most of the perspiration comes off my forehead and there’s no makeup there to worry about. The little bits of “beading” that do occur on the rest of my face I just gently dab with a tissue and if you watch what you are doing then you can get through the day with hardly any touch ups also.
