Photography and pictures
Doesn’t appear to have been any updates on this subject for a couple of years so putting the question out there again.
Does anyone know of a studio in Sydney or Wollongong that can do a good makeover and photo shoot that is trans friendly? I would like to get some nice photos before the wrinkles take over completely.
I am looking for a studio with good lighting and props. Would like three themes, elegant, retro and sexy. However I do need all the assistance I can get!Hugs to all

Hi Fay,
This may be of use, while I can’t accurately speak for Sydney or Woolongong I would assume there are franchises everywhere. In Melbourne a company called ‘Star Photos’ were in two of the largest shopping centres. A few girls from Seahorse Victoria approached them and had their photos taken. Another one was called ‘Glamour Photos’, or something similar.
I’d suggest you ring or email one of these companies and inform them of your situation. I’d be surprised if they declined. These companies are in a business and they want customers
The two I have listed are in Sydney and they offer make-over services with props. There are also listings in Woolongong.

Thanks Claire. I was aware of these studios but wondered if any one here had experience with any of them.
If i don’t have any response I’ll give one of them a go and report back.

Earlier this year I went to Alise Black photography in Surry Hills. It was an amazing experience with fantastic results but VERY expensive. Maybe a once in a lifetime thing. Alise’s makeup skills are incredible, and the way she got me posing was very professional.
I did three outfits, and wherever you go, I would advise you to be very well thought out in terms of what you want to wear and how you are prepared with underwear, breast forms, body shaping etc..
It was the closest thing to heaven I can think of, though. I felt like a real model.

We havnt posted details yet ( but soon will) that Our Photographer for Transformal is offering Studio shots on Transformal saturday morning through to mid PM at his studio just a few minutes away from the carrington
Costs are pretty good in my opinion and time to do some costume changes and experience a glamour shoot in the real sense.

Bambi in Brisbane, a long time TGR member, provides this service. She can also arrange a makeover prior to the photo shoot.
