On the subject of Pleaser shoes which are American sizes (for example size 12 equals size 11 in Australian sizes), I used to order them from websites in USA as it was a lot cheaper that way, although with the Australian dollar plunging into the abyss that may no longer be the case. They also had the larger sizes which some of us need. Nevertheless, I gave up buying them because they were very poor value for money; being made very cheaply in China (where else?), they fell apart very quickly.

Depending on the style of shoe you want, I do recommend you look at the Diana Ferrari website where you can order on line and can return items that don’t fit. They go up to size 13 in some styles. The prices may seem very expensive, but if you put your name down for the email newsletter and other notices, you will find that a pair of shoes you have been eyeing for $175 are suddenly on sale for $45. I have several pairs of DF shoes which are very good quality, made of leather in most cases, last a long time and can be repaired (unlike some of the Pleaser lines).

Hope you find the above of some value.

    Diana Ferrari Shoes.

This shop is far too far from me for me to be able to buy anything there, all I wanted to do was to back up the remarks made about Diana Ferrari Shoes.

I bought my two pairs from the sadly no longer existant Glamazon Shoes in Essendon Vic. Theey aree of excellent quality and fit. I take a ladies 13 Australian size.

Hello Glenda, thanks for that info, I’m coming down to Taree the first weekend in March for an old bike do, reckon I’ll travel through and pay her a visit, sounds good, I’ll contact you before hand

    (This is a reference to forum.tgr.net.au/cms/forum/F30/6059-shop-in-newcastle )

Martina, don’t be too hard on Pleaser shoes, some of us “yeti” or “big foot” girls don’t have a lot of choice, I’ve found that Pleaser size 16 is good for my size, 12au male wide fit, 2″ pumps are 3 year old (these are the 2nd pair, nearly worn out) & are worn for several hours per day, 3″ sling backs are 4 year old & have been to many events & are still comfortable & look good.
perhaps that part needs re-posting in another thread

Moderators can move posts (as I have with this one). But expecting a moderator to edit a wayward post in two parts is just not covered by the $10 lifetime membership!!!

Hi, I have been using Rosenbergs in Chapel Street, Melbourne for my shoe purchases. They have a wide range are great with service and offer refunds or replacements as desired. Their on-line service is great and I have made quite a few purchases, I love shoes!
Re brands, I too find Diana Ferrari shoes are great. DF Supersoft are perfect as they come in a wide fitting too. Rosenbergs also offer an advisory service via email or phone if you want to know what the various brands offer as far as fit is concerned. I have contacted a few times asking for advice. They also do exchanges or refunds if the shoes aren’t to your liking.
As far as prices go tyhey are reasonable, prices range from mid sixties to a few hundred and their sales are always great.

    Cheers,
    Claire.

is this on topic or a post about a shoe resource? Pleas4e think before posting off topic.

Shoes. I love shoes. My first red 5 inch stroppy heels came from shoecraft,, they are great. And service was great. Then I bought lots from Rosenburgs. I choose one pair from the the web and end up with 2 ,,,, such is life. The most comfortable is naturaliser. Definitely Cheers. Fiona. The. Shoeaholic

Off topic – I can’t see a mention of DF or Pleaser.? Please think before posting off topic.

I have a pair of Pleaser shoes & pair of DF as well. Had both pairs for a number of years & both have worn well. The DF’s are very comfy & can be worn for long periods.

Thanks Claire for the tip about Rosenbergs. It is good to know that there is another source of DF shoes. I bought my last pair in a sale in Melbourne; I think it was Myers but may have been David Jones. I was so surprised to actually see something that was my size! More than often I have to buy on-line and that makes it is so much easier to make judgements when one can see the item in the flesh as it were.

The Pleasers I have had were without doubt much inferior in quality. I will admit they filled a gap at the time and I still have two or three pairs in service even though I wear them infrequently. One shoe from one pair fell apart when I was out in them on the third or fourth wearing, which was embarrassing at the time, although I was able to get them repaired. After the repair they were much stronger than the original.

One of my friends had Pleaser shoes and was clever enough to be able to reinforce them in all the right places to carry her weight without imploding. And she wasn’t that heavy.
