I have just discovered this product on the net. Have a look and evaulate your self.

    http://www.besoplex.com/

The product promises immediate results [as also with many others], fuller lips [which means greater potantcy to produce this result compared to others] and prolonged usage to create fuller lips [ as with others as well. Claiming fuller lips in the short term and with prolonged use, MAY produce long term fuller lips]

I am sparking something off at the moment. You may find better products out there

Just by accident, I got some chilli peppers( dried whole, organic!) on my lips recently and , of course, it ” burned ” a bit but I found that my lip swelled noticeably, not an unpleasant look, I thought. I have read that there is a lipstick with Capsicum..inium? in it but it may be fun ( albeit a bit uncomfortable) to try more experiments.

Interesting about the chilli peppers:) How long did the lips stay swollen?

There are also commercially made lip plumper’s available from cosmetic stores ranging in price from about $15.

Hi Anthea, they were swollen for an hour or two only. I overstated any pain, it was a mild burning sensation at best ( worst?)

I bought some lip plumper from Target last year (cost about $15.00) and it definitely had an effect. I would recommend it.

I’ve gone for the Avon Plumper, It contains no pepper additives. It does contain Collagen & Retinol so it not only plumps but also builds the Collagen in the lips to keep them plumped and the retinol tightens the lips to remove wrinkles. It comes in flesh tone as well as colored tones so you can wear it under your normal lipstick

Never realised such a thing as plumpers existed. If applied to the whole face, would this tend to help plump out (gulp) wrinkles (not that I have any, yeah, right).

However, in a worst case scenario, your whole face may grow! Don’t know if that would work.

The risk involved with putting your whole head in a bucket of chilli dip is that you could end up as a ” pumpkin head’ , not my choice but who am I to stop people being who they want to be?

I had a MAC lip plumper that had some sort of chili extract in it… they don’t make it any more sadly.

sally hansen has an affordable range – the “extreme” version lasts about 4 hours, and the non-extreme comes in different colours, although my preference is for clear ones over your normal colour. for the first few hours it actually looks like a gloss. i carry one so that i can top up if i am out and about for longer than 4 hours.

maybe there could be a song about this …

plump on da lip. plump on da lip …
