possible Alternative to Transformal !
hey people just coming to terms with no Transformal this year. as s 9 year vetren to This a vent To say it’s not happening this year I am deviated to say the least Amanda has done An AMAZING job Which has left a huge void In my Calendar so putting it out there I was thinking about a not so formal Transformal maybe a CTV country Transformal, my thoughts are in country NSW a town called Gloucester which has a caravan park/ campground very close to town with 2 hotels 1 more accommodating to us than the other Would be a very informal weekend where we could go out have a great time & still come back to a fire & chat not unlike after Transformal has finished for the night, just putting it out there people because if any interest I might put my hand up to organize this ps I’m probably going to need a bit of guidance from Amanda & friends on how I might get this started as I said this is just my Idea from Donna who is going to miss Transformal

It must be something in the atmosphere or the water that sends our brains into thinking of possible alternatives to Katoomba as a venue for hosting wild and uncaring weekends hellbent on making hay whilst the sun shines. I was, last week in that delightful town of Bowral in the Southern Highlands, trying to escape the incessant heat of Canberra. We stayed at the Berida Hotel, a hotel of the Carrington vintage, even the door frames were identical to Carrington’s. There were nooks and crannies everywhere, usually designed for the discerning introvert who like to hide and read in secluded spots; a lovely spot, similar to heaven. The hotel even boasted a large (1/2 Olympic) swimming pool, needing a little TLC, all in all, a taste of absolute bliss. Would this be suitable for a more trimmed Transformal? I thought and considered. HRH, bless her heart said it was too small and only suitable for a Transformal of total introverts. Suit me, but then at parties should I choose to attend, I make better friendships with either the cat or, at a pinch, the dog. Oh well, there’s always the Seahorse Ball in August should the organising come to fruition

It appears that you have not read the post “Put this in your diaries” where it was announced that a group of us, “The Magic Circle Club”, are arranging an alternate / replacement event for TransFormal in October at the Rendezvous Hotel in Melbourne,
It is called TransActShon.
Check out the post. Plans are well in advance, the venue has been secured, deposit paid, band arranged, make up artists and photographer booked and tickets are on sale now and selling fast for the Friday and Saturday nights.
We will have a website up and running by next weekend and currently have a Facebook page.
Tickets are available now at trybooking.com/447027 and include free beer and wine.

Hi everyone I had made my mind up to go this year. What about the Gold Coast hinterland there are lots of quiet hotels . I am not one to go out in public . The more private the better Bur would love to attend an event Good luck to any organisers

The hotel looks lovely. But when can we book rooms? I got the impression we are waiting for a special accommodation deal from the hotel. Is this the case? When will it be finalised?

Hi Martina.
Waiting to hear back from Emma. She was trying to negotiate a better deal as their first offer was only equal to what was available on their website less the 10% they offered if you joined their eClub.
There will be cheaper deals around if you pay up front with no refund, particularly if you are a Frequent Flyer member.
I will post here as soon as I hear something and send an email to all ticket holder plus have it added to our webpage.
