I attended the LGBTQ pride party at Pokolbin on the weekend and despite an attendance of over 200 it was disappointing to only see about six of us trans girls. If we want acceptance or tolerance people need to see us out and proud of our diversity. It was a very safe environment and everyone had a great time. I made some new lesbian and gay friends and cant wait to go again next year. So instead of preaching to the converted the wider community needs to get to see us out and about. The only thing to fear is fear itself this is 2016 in Australia

Well done, yes ,we went to kinky boots here in Melbourne, I was embraced literally and figuratively , but by gg ,s and a trans lady,, And I think I was the only one we could spot ,, so ,, getting out there ,is good. ,,is a leap initially but after its done is fabulous for us. And society,, cheers
