If we are talking about physical sex then one should perhaps also add intersex as a given.

No – because transgender is about gender – not sex!

Everyone who is transgender is either clinically male, female or inter- sex. As it is clinically impossible to completely change a human from being of male sex to female sex there is a higher incidence of what is probably technically intersex amongst those who are transgender. But it would be very confusing if we decided to label those of indeterminate physical sex as transgender.

In NSW we don’t have gender or sex printed on drivers licences. But when you apply for your license you are asked what your sex is, with the choice male or female. I’m not sure if you can leave the question blank if you are neither Arthur or Martha so to speak. But we digress I think.

The simple answer to your question from me is still No!

We are going to disagree on this issue to some degree I am sure.
I am one who believes that the there should be a third choice.
I don’t think legislation should be dictating you’re choice however.
I am aware that though I refer to myself as transgender I attach female for that is my presentation and for some this would mean a choice of female. If a new option were available you couldn’t make it discriminatory, for the idea would be that it should indicate the person identifies as neither of the given genders.

As the a choice that would cover all I wouldn’t say transgender comes close for it only covers a section of the community.
DIverse would be a logical choice for me. It’s possible that the lack of a cohesive term is at least partly why people have little understanding of us and our issues. As a group we are all different so any new moniker should be inclusive.

In the event of a third choice I would choose it if it were inclusive. I believe that the truth that there’s other ways to be other than male or female is something that is lacking in society. The third choice on every document would force our reality into the minds of everyone regularly and open their minds to the fact that there is difference in gender. I am of the opinion that this would be one of the greatest public education tools you could ever have. Imagine everone is shown that difference exists every time they are asked about gender.

So third choice is YES but not transgender.

    Hi.

A third sex well now that wont work what will is being both male and female or my term male/female non seperatable, im nether or both depending on the school of thought, in fact im a non sexual ether male or female,

And some of us are born that way not many mind you. simple term intersex though not all an hermaphrodite, and we are all quite different as well.

Even with in our intersexed world wide, there are strong emotions rageing of it can only be in one way that all interesexed people have to be if you like graded only in one way. intersex covers a vast lot of difference’s

I get the odd one who is very anti any one who says they are intersexed with out being tested and even the tests are not conclusive so your writen off as an imposter, oh well cant please them all.

im intersexed and thats it. im not doing debates if some one cant take it i am then tough, i dont really care, though my hormones will say different so its now you ether accept or dont,

simple term im an intersexed female,

The third sex its a loose term it does not say or tell any thing nore explains any thing, and really its quite wrong , its about sex or doing it not about the person them selfs,

its like what sex do you call myself , what ever you like because im both then what do you say, am i male or female your call im both so see what happens… a no win ether way.

Hey im weird and happy now that says something about me ,

    …noeleena…
