Rebranding the web site POLL
This thread is a summary of the discussion about rebranding TgR – and presents a poll to get your opinions.
Conclusions so far:
[ul]
Trannyradio has to remain, so we are only looking for a second alternative.TR – we love it – and I’d like to see it remain – but it is no good as an alternative to TgR because the domain names (like http://www.tr.net) are long gone for anything simple like that.
And radio, whilst some people see it as irrelevant, is a name with communication/networking connotations.
[/ul]So here are some options we could consider:
The ‘obvious’ way forward is to replace “Tranny”. So the new name is “Txxxx Radio” and the abbreviation TR is retained. The solutions I have collected so far are

transgender radio:
http://www.trangenderradio.com.au which is a bit of a mouthful and a spelling challenge! Unlikely to catch on!trans radio:
Unfortunately all the nice http://www.transradio.* domain names are taken. So the new name would have to be http://www.transradio.com.au.
An alternative would be to register http://www.trans-radio.com and trans-radio.com.au. Not so easy as you have to remember the hyphen.Tg radio
Heading back towards the less ‘accepted’ labels TG radio doesn’t slip off the tongue quite as well…but we could take http://www.tg-radio.net and http://www.tg-radio.net.auTranny Radio
Just stick with TgR but also take http://www.trannyradio.com.au to show the Australian nature of the site.
